The Blackarrow is the dedicated ranged hunter among the six classes in Mistfall Hunter, fighting at distance with the bow and arrow as its exclusive weapon. You will also see the class written as Black Arrow in the reveal videos; it is the same fighter under two spellings. On the Classes page it sits as the bow specialist, and where the Mercenary muscles into a fight, the Blackarrow stays back and picks targets apart.
The bow branches into two archetypes, the Archer and the Hunter, and the two play very differently despite sharing the same weapon.
Archer
The Archer fires fully charged arrows that come with strong energy recovery, which gives the class real staying power in a drawn-out fight. That sustain pairs with a Mysticfly Arrow detonation mechanic to unload heavy burst damage when the moment is right, so the Archer alternates between feeding its own resources and spiking for a big hit.
Hunter
The Hunter is built around an ailment system instead. Its various debuff arrows apply strong status effects, and landing basic attacks extends how long those debuffs last. That stacking loop magnifies the build's damage over time and its crowd-control reach, making the Hunter the option for wearing enemies down and locking them in place rather than bursting them outright.
Archetypes at a glance

Bow & arrow | Hunter | Debuff arrows that stack status effects, with basic attacks extending debuff duration |
Second weapon
As of the June 2026 build, the Blackarrow's second weapon category was still in development, so the class was playable with the bow only during the Open Beta. Bellring Games has confirmed the additional weapon is being worked on but has not yet detailed what it is, so treat the bow as the Blackarrow's complete kit for now and expect the rest later. For the precision free-aim system that the bow leans on, see Combat and Weapons.
