Early Access and Release
August 6, 2026 at 09:18 PM
Replaced the Early Access target with the August 2026 full-release plan, added the Top 50 demos and co-publishing milestones, and added an In Development section
VOID DIVER: Escape from the Abyss is planned for PC. In August 2026 the studio set aside the Early Access launch it had been targeting for the second half of the year, saying it would put its effort into a complete and polished full release instead. The game is paid, with the exact price not yet announced.
For most of 2026 the plan was an Early Access launch in the second half of the year. After the June Steam Next Fest the community split on what should happen next: some players wanted an Early Access build as soon as possible, while others asked the team to take longer and deliver a more finished game. In an August 2026 development note the studio came down on the side of polish, saying its priority is to create the best possible experience and that rather than rushing toward an earlier release it is focusing on a complete and polished full release. No launch date has been announced, and the Steam listing still shows a 2026 window. The studio said it would share more about its upcoming content, development roadmap, and release plans in September 2026.
The game is PC only. Steam reports a Windows build with full controller support, and no Mac, Linux, or console version has been officially confirmed. For specifications, see System Requirements.
On Steam, VOID DIVER lists support for 15 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Russian, Vietnamese, Turkish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), and Polish.
The Steam listing also records Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud saves, and Family Sharing. As a pre-launch page, this feature set may still change before the game ships.
The path toward release has been marked by steadily rising wishlist counts and a series of public appearances:
Milestone | Detail |

The studio showed the game in person at two 2026 expos as part of its global outreach. It appeared at BitSummit 2026 in Kyoto, Japan, held May 22 to 24 at Miyako Messe, and at PlayX4 2026 at KINTEX in Ilsan, Korea, held May 21 to 24. Both venues ran playable demo booths, and the PlayX4 stage carried a live-streamed Q&A with the game's lead producer. See PlayX4 2026.
For the demo itself, see Demo. The overview page gives a broad introduction to the game.
A 2026 roadmap laid out development in phases: a spring update that added the Diver Raven and focused on combat feel, the June Steam Next Fest showing, and a large-scale system update in the second half of the year. The Early Access launch attached to that final phase was set aside in August 2026 in favor of a full release. An exact date and pricing have not been announced, and the studio said a fuller roadmap would follow in September 2026.
Phase | Focus |
|---|---|
Spring 2026 | New Diver Raven; combat and control feedback. |
June 2026 | Steam Next Fest with an updated demo. |
Second half of 2026 | Large-scale system update. The Early Access launch target attached to this phase was set aside in August 2026. |
The August 2026 development note set out what the team is building after the June Steam Next Fest. None of it is in the playable demo yet, and the studio said it was not ready to detail any of it:
Area | What Was Announced |
|---|---|
Character-specific talent trees, on top of the existing Character Building systems. | |
New equipment and artifacts with unique abilities. | |
Additional chapters and dungeon content in The Abyss. | |
New playable Divers. | |
New shop management and VIP-related content for the BALUSHA Antique Shop. | |
Those priorities came out of the feedback gathered during Next Fest. The studio said it read every Steam review, community post, and bug report, and that the most frequently requested improvements were more build variety and character progression options, better inventory and storage handling, clearer tutorials and in-game guidance, and smoother moment-to-moment flow.
