Early Access Plan
The Early Access period is built around community feedback. The team plans to focus on integrating player input and expanding the gameplay elements players respond to most, the same approach Pugstorm took with Core Keeper. The developers are targeting around one year in Early Access, while noting that this may change with the course of development and based on player feedback.
Pricing for KYORA has not been announced. The developers have stated that pricing is still to be determined, and that the price may differ between the Early Access version and the full release.
Localization
The game will launch in English. Additional language support is planned for the Early Access release, with the initial languages decided by player demand. Further languages may be added in updates before the 1.0 release.
Development Timeline
KYORA was announced in December 2024 at The Game Awards. Pugstorm and Chucklefish post development updates roughly once a quarter. As of January 2026, the game had reached over 500,000 Steam wishlists. In early 2026, the team described Early Access as still some time away, with work focused on completing and refining the first biome before expanding to additional biomes, bosses, enemies, weapons, and craftable items.
