building a pool

To build a swimming pool, enter Build Mode and go to the Buildings tab, then Exteriors. Select the swimming pool option. Players can build a custom pool from scratch by drawing walls and adjusting height and steepness, or pick a preset and edit it later. All pool wall lines need to be connected for the pool to hold water. Lighting and paint can be added to the pool walls. Pools can even be built indoors.

To swim, interact with a pool and select "Go." Once in the water, use point-and-click to send the Zoi to a spot, or take direct control with WASD. Hold Shift to switch into freestyle mode for faster strokes.

• Float on a tube (place a pool tube in Build Mode to unlock this)

energy drain

Swimming drains energy quickly. Make sure the Zoi's hunger, sleep, and overall health are in good shape before jumping in. Placing a pool tube in the water lets the Zoi float and relax without the energy penalty.
