MetaHuman Import is a planned Create a Zoi feature for inZOI that will let players bring Epic Games' MetaHuman face presets into the character creator as a new starting point for facial sculpting. The feature was confirmed in Director Hyungjun Kim's April 17, 2026 community letter as one of the systems prepared but not yet ready to ship.
MetaHuman support already exists at the ModKit level. The March 2026 ModKit expansion added a CAZ Wizard for accessories, motions, and faces, including a MetaHuman guide for face mods. This lets mod creators use Epic's MetaHuman framework when building inZOI face mods. The forthcoming end-user MetaHuman Import will extend this capability to the standard character creator, letting any player import MetaHuman presets directly.
MetaHuman is Epic Games' suite of tools for creating photorealistic digital humans. It produces highly detailed character models that can be customized through facial sculpting tools and used in Unreal Engine projects. Because inZOI is built on Unreal Engine 5, MetaHuman models can be adapted to work within the inZOI character framework.
MetaHuman Creator is hosted by Epic Games and produces ready-to-use character models with realistic skin, hair, eyes, and facial structure. Players who use MetaHuman Creator to design a character could, once the import feature ships, bring that character directly into inZOI as a starting Zoi rather than rebuilding from scratch in CAZ.

Specific mechanics are not yet finalised, but per public announcements:
Players will be able to import MetaHuman presets into Create a Zoi.
Imported faces will support the in-game animation and facial expression systems.
The feature is part of a broader CAZ enhancement pipeline alongside voice customization, body type customization, and additional accessories.
Mod creators using the v0.7.0 ModKit can already work with MetaHuman through the CAZ Wizard. The current workflow is creator-facing only:
Open the ModKit and create a CAZ project.
Use the MetaHuman guide to import a MetaHuman face template.
Adapt the template to the inZOI character format.
Package the result as a face mod and distribute it through CurseForge or Nexus Mods.
This workflow requires Unreal Engine knowledge and the ModKit. It is not the same as the eventual end-user import feature, which is expected to be available directly within CAZ without external tools.

Create a Zoi is the character creator that will receive MetaHuman support. Modding covers the ModKit and current creator-facing MetaHuman workflow. Face Customization covers the existing face sculpting tools. Hair Stylist Career is another in-development feature affecting Zoi appearance. 2026 Roadmap tracks delivery status.
