overview

Edit City mode lets players manage and customize their city. Access it by clicking the Edit City icon in the bottom-right corner.

managing families

Select a home with a family and choose: Play (start playing as that family), Dismiss (remove them from the house), or Relocate (move them elsewhere). Dismissed families stay available for placement later.

editing schedules

Open the "Edit Schedule" tab or the Smartphone [P] Schedule app. View fixed schedules from jobs and school, create special events at any time and location, and cancel or adjust existing schedule items.

city appearance

• Adjust density of signs, trees, grass, and animals

• Change weather effects (rain, snow)

• Add wildlife (crocodiles, pandas)

• Apply environmental aesthetics including run-down or dystopian looks

city management

The Managing Zois tab under City Management shows the city's state. A City Report provides statistics and graphs from the previous day.
