11Overview22The Collection Log is a tracking and achievement system in inZOI that records every gathered item your household has ever collected. It was introduced in the v0.3.0 update (August 20, 2025) alongside the free Island Getaway DLC. The Collection Log gives completionist and achievement-oriented players a structured set of goals to work toward. It tracks fish species caught, gemstones mined, crops harvested, jewels crafted, tools obtained, and information gathered through conversations. Completing sections of the log unlocks exclusive furniture rewards, and filling the entire log may unlock a hidden bonus reward.44Since its introduction, the Collection Log has been expanded through subsequent updates. The v0.4.0 update (October 30, 2025) added ghost fish variants and pumpkin farming entries during the Halloween seasonal event. The March 2026 update introduced six new farmable flowers and a flower shop business, potentially adding new entries to the Farming category.77How to Access99The Collection Log is accessed by clicking the book-shaped icon located just below the Property notification board on the right side of the screen during gameplay. The log is a Family Collection Log, meaning it tracks items collected by any member of the household, not just the currently controlled Zoi. Growing conditions affect quality: fertilizer type and temperature influence the resulting harvest. Higher-quality fertilizer increases the chance of rarer crop variants. Omitting fertilizer entirely produces bug-free but standard-quality crops. Keeping plants properly watered and removing weeds also improves the odds of higher-quality harvests.5353A notable farming secret: using a Jewel Watering Can (crafted using diamond materials) on crops may yield special gem-infused crop variants that count as separate entries in the log. Maintaining a "Feeling Concentrated" mood state (using consumables like donuts) improves rare gem discovery rates. Lucky doughnuts can sustain this mood artificially every 12 hours. The Collection Log descriptions for each undiscovered gem provide hints about which mining spot type to target.7474Some gemstones are world-exclusive, meaning players must travel to specific worlds to find them. Green Mica can only be found in Dowon, while Red Mica, Blue Sodalite Mineral, and Soul Reap Crystal are concentrated in Bliss Bay's school area. Larimar and Pearl require access to underwater sandpiles through snorkeling in Cahaya or Bliss Bay.7676Jewels7878Separate from raw gemstones, the Jewels section tracks polished and cut jewels created at a Crafting Table. Raw gemstones from mining are refined into finished jewels through the Handiwork skill. Higher Handiwork skill levels unlock more advanced cutting techniques, producing different jewel qualities and styles that each have their own collection entries.8080Completing the Jewels section requires both collecting a wide variety of raw gemstones and leveling the Handiwork skill high enough to perform all available cutting methods. Since Handiwork can only be leveled by crafting, this section rewards persistent crafting effort. Crafting higher-tier tools requires leveling the Handiwork skill, which unlocks premium tool recipes progressively. For example, players must build up their Handiwork skill to unlock the premium pickaxe option, which then grants access to Gold, Diamond, and Gem variants.9191The Whatever Tiny Shop in Cahaya rotates three random items daily and may occasionally stock high-tier tools, saving the crafting grind for tool collection entries. Checking this shop regularly is an efficient way to fill out tool entries without investing heavily in Handiwork skill leveling.9393Info9595The Info section is a unique category that collects information gathered through conversations and social interactions rather than physical item gathering. As your Zois talk with other characters, learn about the world, and uncover details, entries in the Info section fill in.9797A useful interaction is "Ask about info on encyclopedia": talking to NPCs who are performing the same gathering activities as you (fishing, mining, collecting) can sometimes reveal hints for obtaining specific collection items. This interaction is available through the Thoughts conversation category when speaking with NPCs. The Info section is generally considered the most passive category to fill, as it progresses naturally through regular social gameplay.9999Snorkeling and Underwater Collectibles101101Several Collection Log entries require snorkeling to access underwater areas. The snorkeling system was introduced with the Island Getaway DLC and is primarily based in Cahaya. Low energy can lead to drowning, so building stamina is important. While underwater, Zois can collect items like sea urchins, shells, and stones that go directly into inventory. Some of these contribute to the Collection Log.109109The most important underwater collectibles for the Mining section are Larimar and Pearl, which can only be obtained from underwater sandpiles. Pearl can also be found by digging sand piles on the beaches of Cahaya and Bliss Bay. Collected sea items can be sold at the Coin Exchange Kiosk located in the Sri Lestari Resort for resort currency, which is redeemable for resort-themed items.111111Be cautious of hazards while snorkeling. Sharks and jellyfish patrol the waters and can seriously injure or even kill your Zoi. Swimming long distances drains energy and stamina, so plan dive routes carefully.113113Resale Store and Selling Collected Items115115While the Collection Log automatically records every item your household collects, the gathered items themselves can be sold for Meow (the in-game currency) at the Resale Store. This store accepts deliveries of crops, fish, minerals, and related items. Delivery prices fluctuate daily, so selling at the right time maximizes profit.117117Items only need to be collected once for the Collection Log entry to register. After that, duplicate items can be sold freely without affecting your collection progress. This means players can turn collection farming into a reliable income source once entries are filled. Fish can also be displayed in fish tanks of the appropriate size (Small, Medium, Large, or Jumbo) as home decoration, and crops can be used in cooking recipes.119119Rewards121121The Collection Log is not just a tracking system. The furniture tends to be thematically tied to the completed collection: fishing-themed furniture for fish sets, crystal-themed decorations for gem sets, and so on.Category completion rewardscompleting an entire main category (e.g., all of Fishing) unlocks additional, more significant rewards.Full completion bonusfilling the entire Collection Log across all categories may unlock a hidden reward. The exact nature of this reward has not been fully confirmed by the community.125125Rewards are automatically delivered to the household and can be placed through Build Mode. Because the log is family-wide, rewards benefit the entire household regardless of which Zoi earned the entries.126126Tracking Across the Household128128Since the Collection Log is family-wide, different household members can specialize in different gathering activities and all contribute to the same log. For example, one Zoi might focus on fishing while another concentrates on mining and a third handles gardening. All of their collected items count toward a single shared log.130130This makes larger households naturally more efficient at filling the Collection Log, as they can cover more ground simultaneously. Each household member builds their own skills independently: the Zoi focused on mining develops the Collecting and Handiwork skills, while the Zoi focused on fishing develops the Fishing skill. This specialization makes each family member more effective at their chosen gathering activity over time.133133Cross-World Travel Requirements135135One of the biggest challenges in completing the Collection Log is that certain items are world-exclusive. Green Mica can only be found in Dowon, certain gems are concentrated in Bliss Bay, and underwater sandpiles for Larimar are primarily in Cahaya. The "Feeling Concentrated" mood state improves drop rates for rare gems like Diamond and Pink Diamond. Keep consumables like donuts on hand, as lucky doughnuts can sustain concentration artificially every 12 hours.Fish at different times of day. Many fish species are day-only or night-only. Alternate between daytime and nighttime fishing sessions to maximize the species you can encounter.Use Advanced Bait for rare fish. The 5 Meow cost per cast is trivial compared to the time saved when hunting for the rarest fish species at Cahaya boat spots.Use the "Ask about info on encyclopedia" interaction. Talk to NPCs performing gathering activities through the Thoughts conversation category to fill Info section entries and get hints about undiscovered items.Check the log regularly. The silhouette system shows exactly what is missing. Use the descriptions and hints provided for undiscovered items to guide your next gathering session.Assign household members to specialize. Since the log is family-wide, have different Zois focus on different gathering activities. One Zoi develops high Fishing skill while another maxes out Collecting and Handiwork.Check the Whatever Tiny Shop daily. It rotates three random items and may stock high-tier tools, saving you the crafting effort for tool collection entries.Develop Swimming skill before snorkeling. Underwater sandpiles are the only source for Larimar and a key source for Pearl. Invest in Swimming skill early so you can safely dive when you reach Cahaya.Grow crops with varied conditions. Use different fertilizer types and maintain different watering schedules to discover all six quality variants of each crop.
