Append HoK:W availability clarifier: The Misty Marshes (云梦泽) is future-region
The Misty Marshes (云梦泽, Yúnmèngzé) is a region in Honor of Kings: World documented in detail on the official Honor of Kings worldview portal. The portal's English tagline is "Cradle of the Sky Dome, Secret Forest Realm." It is the single richest region entry in the English lore portal and serves as the setting for the most developed cosmological narrative in the game's lore, centered on Nuwa, the Heavenly Tree, the Sky Dome, the Order of the Seers, and the rebel Omniscient faction led by Donghuang.
From the Misty Marshes region page: "In this forest, divine hymns echo, halting time in a legendary dreamscape. After the Fall of the Superbeings, deities descended upon the ancient cloud-covered marshland. From the earth sprung the Heavenly Tree, its enormity forming a landscape of mountains and rivers. The Sky Dome descended, creating an isolated cradle where new life was nurtured. A thousand years passed in the blink of an eye. The songs of the seers continue to be sung, and Misty Marshes have become a haven for countless living beings. However, the illusory Sky Dome, the withering brown forest, and the rebels above the clouds seem to foreshadow an impending storm..."
The Heavenly Tree is the central feature of the Misty Marshes. Per the portal: "The massive tree Nuwa created in the Misty Marshes formed a unique landscape centered around itself. Its branches became the ground, its dew filled the rivers, and its breath formed the clouds. As the tree continues to grow, the rivers and lakes exhibit strange behaviors, shifting and pouring downward as the branches move." The tree's lifeforce is the sustaining energy of the entire region: "The lifeforce exhaled by the Heavenly Tree forms flowing clouds that nurture all life in the Misty Marshes."
From the portal: "After the Fall of the Superbeings, Nuwa recreated the Misty Marshes from scorched earth and built the Sky Dome to protect it. The Sky Dome isolates the Misty Marshes from the outside world; it can be exited but not entered. From the inside, it appears as a sky of flowing light, while from the outside, it looks like an ordinary cloud-covered forest, concealing the true nature of the Misty Marshes." The Sky Dome "was badly damaged during the War of Wonders, and the First Seers gave the last of their strength to repair it after defeating the enemy army."
The Order of the Seers is the main faction of the Misty Marshes. It is descended from the nine enforcers who accompanied Nuwa after the Fall of the Superbeings and who became the First Seers. Per the portal: "Resonating with the Heavenly Tree and its essence of 'nurturing,' they were granted divine powers, becoming the first nine Seers dedicated to maintaining the Sky Dome and the ecological balance of the Misty Marshes." After the First Seers gave their lives repairing the Sky Dome in the War of Wonders, "Many years later, a group of newborn children being washed in the Flowers of Life were gifted the same marks as those of the First Seers by the Heavenly Tree... they became the Second Seers."
The Order is currently led by Augran as High Priest. Augran is a Second Seer who was once named Qi and who lost his friends to the Wilting.
Misty City (also called Donghuang City) is a city hidden in the clouds at the highest point of the Misty Marshes. It was originally the sacred meeting place of the First Seers until they were defeated in the War of Wonders, after which the Second Seers moved to Spritefly Forest and Misty City fell into ruins. The rebel Donghuang later occupied Misty City with his Omniscient faction. The portal describes the Omniscients as a faction that "saw the Seers as superior to those they protected," schismed from the Order, and now operates from Misty City. Their signature practice involves using Aeramber (a mineral unique to the Misty Marshes) as an energy container for the Spell of Reincarnation.
Location | Description |
|---|---|
Altar of Rebirth | At the heart of Donghuang Palace in Misty City; where the First Seers once sacrificed to Nuwa, now used by Donghuang for Eclipse Rituals |
Aeramber Mines | Source of the Aeramber mineral unique to the Misty Marshes |
Marsh of Amnesia | A bottomless swamp at the heart of the Heavenly Tree where the locals bid farewell to the departed, who drift in petal boats into the Vortex of Passing |
Bridge of Unmissing | A named bridge in the Misty Marshes |
Tapestry Forest | Home to Lake Village, Cave Village, and Air Village and their tribes: Aquatics, Landwalkers, and Flyers |
Spritefly Forest | Headquarters of the Order of the Seers, with Greenpeak, Breezepond, Seer Hall, and Seer Minor Hall |
The Sacred Spring | Contains a fallen colossal statue said to have been built millennia ago by the First Seers in honor of Nuwa |
The Mansion of Fate | Home of the NPC Dyadia |
The inhabitants of Tapestry Forest are divided into three overarching groups and nine named tribes: Aquatics (Riparian, Lotus, Horn), Landwalkers (Hunter, Fungus, Jade), and Flyers (Bird, Firefly, Leaf). The Riparian Tribe is described as "once followers of Hebo, one of the Nine Seers." This provides a rare direct link between the Nine Seers and specific named tribal ancestors.
The Misty Marshes use a nine-seasonal calendar with named festivals including Sky Dome Festival, Waking Spring, Tranquiliday, Flower Festival, and All Spirits Day. This is a distinctive local cultural feature that the portal documents but that no other region page mirrors.
The Misty Marshes are NOT part of the S0 Season launch playable area. The S0 launch content focuses on the Jixia Academy region and surrounding plains. The Misty Marshes are a confirmed future region based on the extensive lore portal documentation, but their specific post-launch release date has not been announced. Players should expect the Misty Marshes to eventually open as a future region drop, likely tied to story content that explores the Order of the Seers, the Omniscients, and the Wilting crisis.

The Misty Marshes (云梦泽, Yunmengze) has its own page on world.honorofkings.com and is the home region of the MOBA hero Donghuang. Tencent has mentioned it in future-region previews. It is not on the Honor of Kings: World S0 launch map.
