Cleanup (2026-04-24)
Heavenly Reward (天赏, Tiān Shǎng) is Honor of Kings: World's only pity-style gacha mechanic at launch. It is used exclusively for Mythic-tier cosmetic outfits, and it has no impact on combat progression, Resonance unlocks, gear, or any gameplay-affecting resource. Skipping the Heavenly Reward banner entirely has zero gameplay consequence. closed-beta monetization guide, its logic is modeled on NetEase's Heavenly Reward cosmetic banner system seen in Yanyun Sixteen Voices and Justice Online ("跟网易的抽天赏逻辑类似").
Parameter | Value | |
|---|---|---|
Pull cost per roll | ~160 CNY | closed-beta monetization guide |
Mythic hero-outfit hard pity | 15 pulls | closed-beta monetization guide |
Total cost to guarantee a Mythic outfit | ~2,400 CNY | closed-beta monetization guide |
Main-character Mythic outfit pity | ~18,000 Jing Po | closed-beta monetization guide |
Combat impact | None (cosmetic only) |
direct quote on the pity math: "比如东方曜的天赏皮肤,抽一次折合人民币约160元,保底需要15次,算下来一套大约需要2400元" ("For example, Dongfang Yao's Heavenly Reward skin: each pull is roughly 160 RMB, hard pity is 15 pulls, and a full set comes out to around 2,400 RMB"). Dongfang Yao is the specifically named example hero in the guide.
15 pulls as "保底" (bǎodǐ / hard pity), which in Chinese gacha conventions means a guaranteed drop at that threshold. No source documents a soft-pity curve, increasing probability schedule, or early-drop chance below the pity threshold. Treat Heavenly Reward as probabilistic before pity with a guaranteed Mythic at pull 15.
The Child of the Primal Flow (元流之子) has its own Heavenly Reward outfit with a substantially higher pity requirement: approximately 18,000 Jing Po. At the 648 CNY top-up tier rate (6,480 base Jing Po plus 518 bonus), 18,000 Jing Po is roughly 1,800 CNY, though does not give an explicit CNY conversion for this pity. This is a one-off cosmetic goal and is entirely optional.
Pulls on Heavenly Reward use Jing Po, which can be acquired either through paid top-up or through free gameplay. a hardcore free-to-play player (three or more hours of daily play) can accumulate roughly 10,000 or more Jing Po per one to two weeks, so free pulls on Heavenly Reward are possible but slow. Most players who care about a specific Mythic outfit will either pay directly or wait for seasonal promotions. See Jing Po for earn rates and package pricing.
Resonance (共鸣) combat characters
Gearweapons, or any equipment
Talents, Ningwu upgrades, or Flow Pathway nodes
Huanling summoned spirits
Staminamaterials, or any farming shortcut
Any balance-affecting resource whatsoever
Whether Heavenly Reward banners rotate, how often new Mythic outfits are added, or which hero gets the next banner has not been documented in any launch-window source accessed during research. Treat rotation as unknown until Tencent publishes a cosmetic roadmap.
Heavenly Reward is sometimes conflated in English coverage with a hypothetical Genshin-style character gacha. This is incorrect: Honor of Kings: World does not have a character gacha at launch. The only gacha-style mechanic is Heavenly Reward, and it is strictly cosmetic. See Gacha and Pity System for the full explanation of why HoKW does not use Genshin-style 80 or 90 pull character mechanics.
launch-week monetization review (April 5, 2026), the Heavenly Reward / Tianshang (天赏) banner uses the following confirmed structure at S0 launch:
Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
Pull cost | 160 晶珀 per pull |
Hard pity | 15 pulls |
Guaranteed item | Full skin set at 15 pulls |
Cost to guarantee | 2,400 晶珀 (~2,400 CNY) |
Banner contents | Skins only, no heroes or weapons |
Tencent explicitly excluded character and weapon gacha from the launch monetization model. The Tianshang banner is cosmetic-only. All 11 launch Resonances are obtainable through free gameplay: five via main story progression, one via day-1 tutorial, one via Battle Pass activation (68 CNY), one via S0 direct shop (3,980 晶珀), and the remaining through event and battle pass unlocks. This is a deliberate departure from the gacha-first models of Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.
The launch-window Tianshang banner featured a Dongfang Yao angel-themed skin. The 15-pull hard pity applied to this banner as confirmed by current community data. Subsequent banners rotate through other hero skins, each with its own published probability table.
