Dream Realm Events

Added portraits of the three active featured Resonances
Dream Realm events (梦境活动, Mèngjìng Huódòng) are time-limited hero-themed challenge events in Honor of Kings: World. A launch-week wave of Dream Realm events went live with the April 10, 2026 S0 public test, and as of April 12, 2026 the Tencent S0 portal lists four currently active events and one concluded event. Dream Realm events are NOT the same as the permanent Dream Realm dungeons (梦境奇谭) endgame gear-farming loop; they are cosmetic event tracks with featured-hero framing.
Per direct fetch of the Tencent S0 portal on April 12, 2026:
Featured Hero | Chinese | Status |
|---|---|---|
东方曜 | 现已开启 (active) | |
孙膑 | 现已开启 (active) | |
鲁班大师 | 现已开启 (active) | |
蒙犽 | 现已开启 (active) | |
西施 | 活动已结束 (concluded) |
Note: the wiki-link cells in the table above render as simplified strings. See each hero's dedicated article for their full kit and launch-event content.

Important: Leng Chun is NOT confirmed by current community data. Earlier drafts of this wiki that counted Leng Chun among the Dream Realm event heroes were incorrect. The correct breakdown is four currently active events plus Xi Shi's concluded event, for a total of five distinct launch-week events.
Coverage of the Cloud Honor of Kings early access period (March 28, 2026) describes the Dream Realm event format for two of the heroes:
Dongfang Yao "抢先与东方曜一同挑战猩红神兽" ("Get an early chance to challenge the Crimson Divine Beast alongside Dongfang Yao"). The event frames a themed boss-challenge mission featuring the hero.
Sun Bin "穿梭世界时空虚影...累积世界探索度即可兑换限定面饰" ("Traverse the Dreamscape world's spacetime phantoms... accumulate world exploration progress to exchange for limited face accessories"). Sun Bin's event uses an exploration-and-tokens loop rather than a single boss challenge.
Both formats share a common structure: themed story or combat content featuring one hero, completion-based progress, and cosmetic-reward exchange. The rewards are limited titles (限定称号), limited face accessories (限定面饰), and journey gifts (旅程馈赠).

Not permanent hero unlocks: the launch-hero guide and launch-hero handbook list how each of the 11 Resonances can be acquired (story, battle pass, direct purchase at approximately 398 CNY per character, and event content), and neither lists Dream Realm events as a confirmed permanent unlock path
Not the permanent Dream Realm dungeon loop the permanent max-level gear farm is called Dream Realm dungeons (梦境奇谭) and is a separate stamina-gated endgame system
Not free-hero-trial flights in the traditional MOBA sense the launch coverage does not confirm that players must already own the featured hero to participate; the events are framed as content featuring the hero, not as trial ownership windows
Exact duration of each currently active Dream Realm event
Why Xi Shi's event concluded first (plausibly because it ran during the Cloud Honor of Kings early access period before the PC launch, but no primary source confirms this reason)
Full reward list per event beyond the generic title / face accessory / journey gift categories
Whether players must own the featured hero to participate
Whether progress carries over to the same hero's next event in a future season
Launch coverage treats Dream Realm Events as a separate lane from the permanent hero-side systems. Hero Record handles Resonance-specific record tasks and default appearance unlocks, while Companion Invitations are partner story quests triggered from Social Circle > Partners.
In practice, that means clearing a Dream Realm event does not replace Hero Record progression or invitation quests. They run alongside each other as different pieces of the launch activity loop.

Two changes to the Dream Realm rotation shipped in August 2026, both confirmed in official update announcements.
Matchmaking entry opened for the Extraordinary V (超凡·五) tier at 00:00 on August 20, 2026. The August 13 update notice announced the date in advance, and the tier had previously required a pre-formed group. This was one of the items the August 11 developer letter listed as planned work, and it is one of the few on that list to have actually shipped inside the month.
The August 20 update also retuned difficulty on three Floating Life (浮生) tiers, the third, fourth and fifth. The stated aim was a smoother challenge curve across those levels rather than a flat difficulty reduction, so clear requirements were adjusted in pacing rather than removed.
A separate change in the same update affects how players find guidance for this content: the expert guide (大神攻略) panel shown inside the Resonance interface was raised from a single entry to up to three.
Other items from the August 11 developer letter that touch this content, including the proposal to replace the Dream Realm stamina cost with ticket entry, have not shipped. They should be read as announced intent until an official update announcement confirms them live.
