Revision 1

New Souls for the Brotherhood is Baal Tondral's Chapter 1 recommendation task. He preaches to Novices near the Swamp Camp blacksmith. Let him address the Hero, then ask how to prove worthy. Bring 100 ore nuggets for the later gate payment.

Find a willing recruit

Speak to Melvin among Tondral's listeners and ask about his former life as a digger. He suggests his old friend Dusty. At the Old Camp, find Dusty listening to Baal Parvez in the market during the evening.

Discuss the Brotherhood and explain that Melvin is doing well. Dusty agrees to leave, but the south-gate guard requires 100 ore nuggets. Pay the guard without being rude or announcing the Swamp Camp destination; those answers provoke hostility.

Escort Dusty

Take Dusty through the south gate near the collapsed tower and escort him to the Swamp Camp. Bring him directly to Baal Tondral to finish the task and gain the recommendation. Keep the recruit safe on the journey rather than treating the conversation in the Old Camp as completion.

Tondral is one of five possible recommendations in Admission to the Swamp Camp; four are required.
