Bullit

Added drop-zone scene table, Old Camp Shadow tier detail, and cross-camp comparison
Bullit is the Old Camp guard who meets the Nameless Hero at the base of the drop zone and knocks him unconscious. It is the Hero's first real interaction with the Old Camp's rank-and-file, and it sets the tone for the Colony: the Hero is not anyone special, the camp is not going to be polite, and nothing about life inside the Barrier is going to be handed to him.
Bullit is the first Old Camp NPC the Hero speaks to. He takes the Hero's belongings, delivers the Colony's unwritten welcome, and leaves him unconscious in the dirt for Diego to find moments later. The scene is preserved in the remake's opening and has been shown in Alkimia Interactive's pre-release communication as part of the remake's treatment of the Colony's power dynamic.
Beat | Detail |
|---|---|
Arrival | The Hero is dropped through the Barrier with his belongings, including the letter Xardas wanted him to carry into the Colony. |
Greeting | Bullit is the figure on the ground who meets him. The encounter is not a fight in the Hero's favour; Bullit is in control of the situation. |
Robbery | Bullit takes whatever the Hero was carrying, including the letter. The Hero starts the campaign without his single Old Camp introduction. |
Knockout | Bullit leaves the Hero unconscious. Diego is the next NPC the Hero meets, on his own initiative rather than at any Old Camp invitation. |
Bullit sits in the camp's enforcer layer. He is not a senior figure: the Old Camp's chain runs through Gomez and his Ore Barons, with Thorus handling the camp gate proper. Bullit's role is the layer below that, doing the routine intimidation work that keeps newcomers on the camp's terms before they ever talk to anyone with rank.
NPC | Role | Tone |
|---|---|---|
Bullit | Old Camp enforcer at the drop zone. | Hostile and predatory. Sets the Colony's tone before any camp recruits the Hero. |
Old Camp Shadow scout; one of The Four Friends. | Friendly. The Hero's first real ally and the natural bridge into the Old Camp's social side. | |
Former Fire Mage operating outside the camps. | Off-screen at the drop zone but the figure whose letter the Hero was carrying. Bullit's theft removes that introduction. |
Bullit does not appear in the Nyras Prologue demo, because the prologue takes place before the Nameless Hero's arrival. The demo's authority figure around the Exchange Zone is Diego, not Bullit. The drop-zone scene that introduces Bullit happens after the demo's timeframe ends.
