A Ring for Fingers
October 23, 2026 at 12:29 PM
Simplified Scatty's chest solution to the dedicated nine-step route.
A Ring for Fingers is an Old Camp recommendation quest during Casting Shadows. Fingers asks the Hero to steal Scatty's Ring as proof of thieving ability.
Start Casting Shadows and ask Diego who can teach skills nearby. Then find Fingers near the building with two large red banners, close to Snaf. Ask for support in becoming a Shadow and explain that Diego sent the Hero. The training question to Diego is required for the favor dialogue to appear.
Scatty's chest is inside his hut beside his usual arena location. Wait until he is away in the morning before entering. Starting from the original lock arrangement, use this sequence:
Step | Plate | Direction | Moves |
|---|---|---|---|
1 | 3 | Left | 5 |
2 | 5 | Left | 5 |
3 | 4 | Left | 4 |
4 | 5 | Left | 4 |
5 | 2 | Right | 4 |
6 | 5 | Left | 4 |
7 | 1 | Right | 2 |
8 | 3 | Left | 2 |
9 | 4 | Left | 1 |
Take Scatty's Ring and return it to Fingers for 100 XP and his recommendation. Keeping the ring leaves the recommendation unfinished. The chest also contains a Two-Handed Pickaxe and 16 ore nuggets.
