Revision 3

The Golden Hand is Faye's signature power in God of War Laufey. The title comes from her standing as the Golden Hand of the Jotnar, and the ability to manipulate souls is part of her Jotnar heritage.

The reveal places the power in context: the Giants of Jotunheim had access to magic potent enough that Odin viewed them as one of the greatest threats to his rule over the Nine Realms, and as the most powerful protector of the Giants Faye wielded fearsome powers of her own, soul manipulation among them.

Soul Manipulation

Within the Everywhen, where magic is amplified, Faye can strike her golden palm at a foe with enough force to detach the soul from its body, leaving it suspended in the air on a glowing tether. From there she can attack the soul directly, knock it into other enemies, and chain it into her combat, opening up combos and other creative uses.
