Created page with the confirmed Fortune's Weave profile, proficiencies and description
The Soldier is one of the five Beginner classes in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and the only one counted as both Infantry and Armored. Its published description is a spear user clad in shield and mail who excels in Defense, which is the shape of the class in one line: it holds ground rather than covering it.
Field | Value |
|---|---|
Tier | Beginner |
Unit type | Infantry and Armored |
Proficiencies | Lance, Axe, Armor |
Weapons wielded | Lance, Axe, and also Sword |
Movement | Not published |
Stat profile | High Defense |
Japanese name | 兵士 (Heishi) |
Reports of the weapon menu describe the class equipping swords, spears and axes, which lines up with the proficiency list once the naming difference is set aside: exam screens have been read as saying Spear where class summaries say Lance, and both refer to the same weapon type.
The Armor proficiency is what separates the Soldier from the rest of the Beginner tier. It is the entry point for the heavy-armor line, so a unit that starts here is already training the requirement that the Armored Knight in the Specialty tier and the Dreadnought in the Advanced tier both check at a certification exam. The Lance proficiency points the same unit toward the mounted and spear classes instead, which gives the class two usable directions out of it.
The trade is the usual one for a defensive class. High Defense and a shield make the Soldier hard to move, while its movement figure has not been published and the class carries none of the Dexterity or Speed emphasis the Hunter does.
No base stats, growth rates or stat modifiers have been published for the Soldier in this game, and no movement value has been shown either. Stat tables circulating for a class of this name belong to other titles and do not describe this one.
