Mikaela Augustus is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave and a former mercenary who was known in her working years as the Redblade. She came to Dagsion to earn the money for her daughter's education, and she fights for House Lamine alongside Dietrich at the Heroic Games.

Mikaela was good enough in her active career that her name travelled: Buccar, the veteran who serves Leda, knew of her from those years. She is out of that life now and back in armour for a reason that has nothing to do with glory, which is paying for her only daughter's schooling. Nintendo's profile calls her a strict yet kind soldier, and both halves of that show up in how she deals with the people around her.
Mikaela is a close combat fighter who reads her opponents and lands hits with unusual reliability. She is shown in the Gladiator class, which carries a proficiency bonus in Sword, Axe and Gauntlet, wielding an axe rather than the sword the class sprite suggests.
