Wilhelm

Wilhelm is one of the Visions drawn from Final Fantasy Resonance's own cast rather than from an earlier entry in the series. Square Enix published his profile in official press material dated August 24, 2026.

Profile

Square Enix introduces him as an imperial general who often joins the fray himself, clad in the most resilient suit of armor. The material does not name which empire he serves. The Zoldaad Empire was revealed in the same batch, but no published line connects the two, so the association stays unconfirmed.

Combat Profile

In battle Wilhelm draws the enmity of all enemies at the start of the fight, which makes him the party's shield. The effect is described as landing at the start of battle rather than as something a turn is spent on, so the wearer takes over enemy targeting without giving up an action to do it.

That pairs with Limit Bursts. A limit gauge fills when a character staggers an enemy or takes damage, so a Vision that pulls every attack onto its wearer is also a Vision that fills a gauge. He is the second Vision described in terms of soaking damage, after Charlotte, the knight of the story cast whom official material labels a Defender.

How to Obtain

Square Enix has not detailed how Wilhelm's crystal is earned. Like every Vision he is obtainable in-game with no DLC, he can be raised through Vision Awakening using limited magicite, and abilities learned from him stay equippable while another Vision is active, within the cost limit described at Abilities and Mastery.
