Ancient battlegrounds are one of the named environment types in Solace. Official material lists them alongside underground caverns, forests, and crumbling sanctuaries as places where ruins whisper of past cataclysms. Battlegrounds carry the physical evidence of conflicts long over: weathered weapons, broken fortifications, and scattered relics still heavy with dormant power.
What Battlegrounds Hide

Weapons - weathered blades, axes, and other arms left behind.
Relics - identity-shaping items still resonant with old power.
Ingredients - alchemical residues, ash, and rare components.
Lore - inscriptions, tattered banners, and item engravings that hint at who fought here.
Atmosphere
Official material treats battlegrounds as somber and lore-rich rather than spectacle-heavy. The team has emphasized that arriving in a place should feel meaningful, and battlegrounds carry that weight directly: every ruin is the trace of a story the player can piece together from environmental detail.
Connection to the Macro Plot
Some battlegrounds may belong to the surface-versus-underground conflict or to past cataclysms before it. Specific named battlegrounds can now be documented from the live Early Access build; this page will expand as those locations are confirmed.
