Yanna is the sister of Coen and the second oldest of the four children of Pieter and Esme. The family lives in the hills of Laslea.
Yanna is described as mature beyond her years. Whenever Coen and Pieter are away, she takes on the responsibility of caring for Mirto and Lunka, which in a household where the mother's health has collapsed makes her the effective centre of the home. She may lack patience at times, but her determination to keep the family united never falters.
She reads Mirto's growing restlessness as a phase he will pass through. The developers note that she may simply be trying to reassure herself when tensions rise, which is the one piece of doubt attached to her otherwise steady presence.
Her name is spelled Yanna in the developers' own material. Variant spellings circulate in unofficial listings and should not be used.
Yanna sits between Coen and the two younger children in the order of birth.
Family Member | Relation | Note |
|---|---|---|
Father | A former mercenary; strict and emotionally distant, but protective. | |
Mother | Puts the family first at the cost of her own health, which has declined badly. | |
Eldest child | The player character, and a Dawnwalker after his failed transformation. | |
Yanna | Second oldest | Cares for the younger children whenever Coen and Pieter are away. |
Third child | Once quiet, now increasingly restless. | |
Youngest child | Bright and perceptive, and the most sheltered of the four. |
Yanna is taken along with the rest of the household when the vrakhiri capture Coen's family, the event that starts the 30-Day Cycle. Hands-on coverage describes the family as held at Brencis's castle to be sacrificed at the ceremony marking his investiture as Prince, which is what fixes the deadline at a month.
Yanna's age, her voice actor, and whether she speaks to Coen at any point during the rescue have not been published. The developers have not said whether the siblings can be saved individually or only as a group, so no outcome should be assumed for her.
