Mirto

Refreshed internal link states after new pages were published
Mirto is the brother of Coen and one of the four children of Pieter and Esme. With Coen the eldest, Yanna second, and Lunka the youngest, Mirto is the third of the four. The family lives in the hills of Laslea.
Mirto was once a quiet child. He has grown increasingly restless as his parents became emotionally absent, a change the developers tie directly to the state of the household rather than to anything he has done. Esme's health has collapsed since Brencis took the valley, and Pieter was already distant, so the two people who would normally steady a boy his age have both withdrawn.
Yanna believes the restlessness is only a phase, though the developers note she may simply be trying to reassure herself when tensions rise. Nothing has been published about what form Mirto's restlessness takes, whether it puts him at risk, or whether it becomes a thread in the story.
Mirto is one of the two younger children Yanna looks after whenever Coen and Pieter are away.
Family Member | Relation | Note |
|---|---|---|
Father | A former mercenary; strict and emotionally distant, but protective. | |
Mother | Puts the family first at the cost of her own health, which has declined badly. | |
Eldest child | The player character, and a Dawnwalker after his failed transformation. | |
Second oldest | Cares for the younger children whenever Coen and Pieter are away. | |
Mirto | Third child | Once quiet, now increasingly restless. |
Youngest child | Bright and perceptive, and the most sheltered of the four. |
Mirto is taken with the rest of the household when the vrakhiri capture Coen's family, which is what starts the 30-Day Cycle and gives the player 30 days and 30 nights to reach them. Hands-on coverage describes the family as held at Brencis's castle to be sacrificed at the ceremony marking his investiture as Prince.
Mirto's age, his voice actor, and whether he appears in any playable scene have not been published. The developers have not said whether the siblings can be rescued separately, so no outcome should be assumed for him.
