Overview

Toasted Grains is a basic recovery item in Crimson Desert prepared by roasting a single serving of grain over an open flame. The toasted grains provide modest health restoration and serve as a quick, no-fuss food option when other ingredients are unavailable. Like all grilled dishes, Toasted Grains can be cooked at any bonfire or campfire without needing a recipe scroll.

Grains are one of the most versatile cooking ingredients in the game, appearing in porridges, soups, rice cakes, and more. Toasting them directly is the simplest use, and it is a solid fallback when you need a quick heal but lack meat or fish.

Grain is a generic ingredient category that covers Lentils, Beans, Barley, Wheat, and Peas. Any grain item in your inventory satisfies this recipe. Grains can be purchased from food merchants in most settlements, grown at the Greymane Camp farm, or occasionally found while looting houses and camps throughout Pywel.

Quality Tiers

Toasted Grains can be upgraded to higher quality tiers by adding more grain during cooking.

Cooking many base-tier Toasted Grains is typically more efficient for total healing than a single Hearty version, following the same principle as Grilled Meat.

Tips

• Grains are better saved for pot recipes like Vegetable Porridge or Fishball Soup when possible, since those dishes restore significantly more health. Toast grains only when you need food quickly and lack other ingredients.

• The Greymane Camp farm can produce grains passively once you plant the right crops, giving you a steady supply without spending Bells.

• Stock up on cheap grains from merchants before heading into dungeons as emergency backup food.
