The Tiger is a temporary mount in Crimson Desert and one of the most impressive big cat predators players can ride. With 450 Health, 100 Attack, and 45 Defense, the Tiger is a formidable combat mount that can hold its own in prolonged encounters. It shares similar stats with the Circus Lion but is obtained through combat rather than simply walking up and mounting it.

Tigers appear in multiple visual coat variations, ranging from the classic orange-striped pattern to other color morphs. These variations are purely cosmetic. As a Fleeting Companion, the Tiger cannot be stabled, summoned, or equipped with gear.
The Tiger's stat profile makes it one of the strongest non-boss predator mounts available:
The Tiger's 450 Health provides a solid buffer for mounted combat, and its 100 Attack deals serious damage. The 45 Defense is among the highest of all temporary mounts, meaning the Tiger absorbs incoming damage more effectively than wolves, hyenas, or smaller predators. In terms of raw combat power among temporary ground mounts, only the Gristle Wolf and bears surpass the Tiger in overall durability.
Tigers must be subdued through combat before they can be ridden:
Locate a Tiger in the wilderness. They tend to inhabit forested and jungle-like areas across Pywel.
Engage the Tiger carefully. With 100 Attack, its pouncing and claw attacks hit hard, and it is fast enough to close distance quickly.
Deal sustained damage until the Tiger collapses into a stunned state.
Press the mount prompt (Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox) to climb on before it recovers.
Fighting a Tiger is a step up from subduing wolves or hyenas. Its 450 Health means you need to commit to a longer fight, and its 100 Attack punishes careless positioning. Use dodge rolls to avoid its pounce attacks and counterattack during recovery windows. Ranged skills and projectile weapons can help soften it up before going in for melee.
Tigers come in multiple coat variations with different stripe patterns and coloring. All variations share the same base stats and combat behavior. Encountering different visual variants does not create separate entries in the Knowledge Journal.
The Tiger is a temporary mount (Fleeting Companion). This means:
It cannot be registered at any stable or recalled through the mount menu.
It cannot be equipped with saddles, barding, or any other mount gear.
It does not gain experience or level up.
Once you dismount, the Tiger becomes hostile immediately and will attack you.
If the Tiger dies during the ride, you are thrown off.
The Tiger offers strong mounted combat potential thanks to its 100 Attack stat. While riding, you can trigger the Tiger's own attack animations (lunging bites, sweeping claw strikes) using RT/R2, while your character independently wields their equipped weapon. This dual-attack setup makes the Tiger effective for clearing enemy groups and engaging in open-world combat encounters.
The Tiger's 45 Defense gives it noticeably better damage mitigation than wolf mounts, allowing it to sustain combat for longer before its health becomes critical. It is one of the better temporary mounts for players who want to fight from the saddle rather than simply travel.
The Tiger's 450 HP requires a real fight to subdue it. Come prepared with healing items and decent equipment.
Use the Tiger's strong attack power to clear enemy camps before dismounting. Its 100 Attack makes quick work of regular enemies.
Dismount in a safe location away from other threats. The Tiger will immediately turn hostile the moment you step off.
The Tiger is a solid all-around predator mount for combat. If you need a temporary combat mount and no bears or Gristle Wolves are nearby, a Tiger is an excellent alternative.
Riding a Tiger registers its entry in the Fleeting Companions section of the Knowledge Journal.
