Lyselia, the Witch of Humility, is one of five witches in Crimson Desert. She is the third optional witch players typically encounter, found by performing an act of kindness near Bayern. Lyselia's phrase, "May humility be your truest strength," reflects her gentle and compassionate personality. She provides access to defensive Abyss Gear blueprints and four sanctum quests in the Delesyia region.

The main quest eventually takes you to the town of Bayern, but you can travel there on your own at any point earlier in the game. Lyselia's hidden form is a person dangling from a broken bridge in the area southeast of Bayern.
Travel to the area near Bayern. Look for the teleporter southeast of town.
From the teleporter, turn right.
Look for a man hanging off the edge of a broken bridge. He is clearly in distress.
Approach and interact with him to help him up. This triggers a brief dialogue where he says "May humility be your truest strength."
After helping him, Lyselia reveals her true location.
Lyselia's true home is a cozy cave near Gi Jong Temple, southeast of Deminis. Reaching her requires a bit of platforming:
Travel to the fast travel teleporter at Gi Jong Temple.
From the teleporter, jump down onto the ledge directly beneath you.
Scoot left along the narrow ledge, hugging the cliff wall.
Continue until you reach the cave entrance where Lyselia resides.
Lyselia provides the full range of witch services:
Embed Abyss Gears into equipment sockets
Extract Abyss Gears from equipped items
Create and unlock Abyss Core sockets on equipment
Crafting Abyss Gears using recipes (synthesis)
Buying and selling equipment and items
Selling unique defensive blueprints and accessories
Lyselia's blueprints focus entirely on defense and survivability. She is the go-to witch for players building tanky characters.
Blueprint | Effect | Equippable On | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
Fortification | Defense +3 | Tank builds, overall survivability | |
Aegis | Damage reduction 1.0 | Damage mitigation, boss fights | |
Fortitude | Guard stamina cost -3% | Shield builds, blocking-focused playstyles |
Higher tiers of each blueprint are obtained through synthesis at any witch's shop. Combine two level 1 Abyss Gears of the same type to produce level 2, and two level 2 to produce level 3. Combining Fortification and Aegis on your armor and shield creates one of the most durable setups in the game.
In addition to blueprints, Lyselia sells several accessories:
Item | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Accessory | Defensive accessory with stat bonuses | |
Copper Necklace | Accessory | Provides crit rate bonuses with extra spirit |
Consumable | Used to invest in skill nodes | |
Faded Abyss Artifact | Consumable | Skill reset resource for respeccing invested points |
After meeting Lyselia, four sanctums in the Delesyia region become available to cleanse. Each sanctum requires defeating Antumbra forces and solving a puzzle to restore the sanctum's generator.
Sanctum | Location | Notable Feature |
|---|---|---|
Delesyia, northwest of Cliff of Despair | Both components require Kuku Pot sealing | |
Delesyia, Blue Thicket area on Mount Benus | Nature's Grasp ability needed to lift rock | |
Deep underground descent with web-covered stairs | ||
Delesyia, east of The Grey Forest | Thorn vines requiring Focused Light |
Completing all four of Lyselia's sanctums rewards you with a Witch's Token. Collecting all four tokens from all witches unlocks the door to the White Crow in the Wayward Woods.
The main quest eventually takes you to Bayern, but you can travel there much earlier to find Lyselia's hidden form ahead of schedule.
The ledge path to Lyselia's cave from Gi Jong Temple can be tricky. Take your time scooting left and do not try to jump; just walk carefully along the ledge.
Lyselia's defensive blueprints pair well with heavy shield builds. The Fortitude blueprint in particular is valuable for players who rely on blocking.
Her Copper Necklace accessory is a good early-game pickup for builds that focus on critical hits.
