The Sanctorum of Darkness is the fourth Abyss sky island in the Sleet Isles chain, accessed after completing the Path of Trials. It sits between the Path of Trials and the Loop of Life on the route to unlocking Flame Strike. The puzzle here revolves around redirecting laser beams using two rotating spheres and a removable power chip.
Access the Sanctorum of Darkness by completing the Path of Trials (where you unlock Frost Mantle). After claiming your reward, activate the mechanism by grappling and turning it until it glows. This opens the platforms and wind turbines leading to the Sanctorum.
The traversal to reach the Sanctorum includes falling platforms (move quickly across them, do not stand still), a moving platform that takes you upward, and a lantern with a teleporter at the top. Warm up at the lantern before teleporting to the puzzle island.
After teleporting in, make a few jumps across platforms (use the targeted jump for safety) and ride a moving platform upward. Before doing anything else, grab the fast travel point at the top. If you fall off later, this saves you from repeating the entire traversal.
There are two large spheres (rotating balls) in this area. When you first arrive, the right sphere already has an active laser on it. Use your Axiom grapple on the button at the back of the right sphere to take control of it. Use the D-pad to rotate the sphere downward, aiming the laser at the crystal on the opposite side. When the laser hits the crystal, it locks in place. Release the grapple.
Below the fast travel point there is a grate. Jump off and grab the grate, hold L2 to maintain your grip, and then punch it to flip through. In the room underneath, you will find a power chip behind a barrier. Use your Axiom grapple to pull the chip out of its socket by finding an angle where you can pull directly away from it. The barrier above you will deactivate.
Float the chip as high as you can before releasing it, then go back up through the grate (grab with L2, punch to flip). Climb back to the top using jump punches and gliding.
Look down the hole where the barrier was. It is now clear because you unplugged the chip. Pull the chip down to the left side where there is a spotlight socket on a lower platform. Jump down, bring the chip close, and when you see the leaves effect, do a jump punch to lock it in. This powers on the second laser, activating the left sphere.
Climb back up to the top. Both spheres now have active lasers. Grapple onto the back of the left sphere and rotate it so the laser hits the remaining crystal below. When it locks in, the puzzle is complete.
After both crystals are lit, wait about 10-20 seconds for the cutscene. A button will activate. Use the Axiom grapple punch on the button (or climb up and punch it while holding L2 to avoid falling). Then jump and glide to the skill point reward above. After collecting it, head right and activate the next mechanism by grappling and turning it until it glows, which opens the path to the Loop of Life.

Use targeted jumps (L1 + Square) when crossing platforms to avoid accidental falls. Repeating sections after a fall is time-consuming.
When punching through the grate, always hold L2 first so you maintain your grip and do not fly off.
The spheres can be tricky to aim. Use small D-pad taps for fine-tuned adjustments.
