Pump Kick is learned through the Watch and Learn system. During Chapter 3, the boss Matthias will perform the Pump Kick during his fight in Hernand City. When time slows down and the "Learning in Progress" prompt appears, hold the observation button for two to three seconds while within visual range. After successfully observing the technique, open the skill menu and spend 1 Abyss Artifact to permanently unlock Pump Kick.
Pump Kick launches Kliff into the air before delivering a powerful two-footed kick that sends the target flying backward. The knockback effect is significant, making this skill excellent for repositioning enemies or knocking them off ledges and elevated terrain. The skill consumes Stamina on use, so players should monitor their Stamina bar during extended combos.
Because it belongs to the Unarmed Combat category, Pump Kick can be performed while weapons are sheathed. All three playable characters have access to this skill once it is unlocked, though each character must learn it independently through their own skill tree or observation.
The Fextralife data confirms two character-specific descriptions: for Kliff, Pump Kick is described as a powerful two-footed kick that sends enemies flying; for Oongka, it puts his full weight into a kick and shoves an enemy away. In both cases the knockback is significant and can push enemies off ledges for environmental kills. Pump Kick is also available to Damiane, who can learn it independently through her own skill tree or via Watch and Learn.
Use Pump Kick near cliffs and elevated areas to send enemies falling for additional environmental damage.
Chain Pump Kick after a Grappling throw to keep opponents off balance.
The knockback effect gives you breathing room when surrounded by multiple enemies.
Pair this skill with Dropkick and Body Slam for a well-rounded unarmed combat kit.
Monitor your Stamina bar carefully, as running out mid-combo leaves you open to counterattacks.
Body Slam: Another Unarmed Combat skill that slams enemies from mid-air.
Dropkick: A forward-lunging double-kick that also sends enemies flying.
Tornado Kick: A spinning kick available to Damiane.
Flying Kick: An aerial kick unlocked at Unarmed Combat Lv. 4.
Keep an eye on your Stamina bar when using this skill repeatedly; running out mid-combo leaves you vulnerable.
