Added crafting book source from the Skullstone Institute back library

Pailune Shotgun is a shotgun in Crimson Desert. It is classified as a Rare+-grade ranged weapon with a base Attack of 14. A shotgun made in Pailune. Parts and blueprints were brought in from Demeniss, but the weapon was built entirely by northern hands. Jian also took great interest in adopting outside technology, and the people of Pailune trusted him despite their wariness toward outsiders.
As a shotgun, this weapon fires a devastating spread of projectiles at close range. Many shotguns in Pywel feature attached melee blades, making them effective hybrid weapons for players who like to fight at point-blank range.

This weapon has a listed value of 1012 Silver Coins. It may be available for purchase from merchants who specialize in ranged weapons, though pricing can vary based on faction reputation and regional availability.
As a Rare+ grade weapon, this shotgun sits between standard Rare and Epic tiers. It may be obtained through mid-to-high level quest rewards, specialized merchants, enemy drops from challenging foes, or crafting with uncommon materials.
A shotgun made in Pailune. Parts and blueprints were brought in from Demeniss, but the weapon was built entirely by northern hands. Jian also took great interest in adopting outside technology, and the people of Pailune trusted him despite their wariness toward outsiders.
Demeniss is renowned throughout Pywel for its advanced firearms technology. The kingdom's gunsmiths have pushed the boundaries of what is possible with gunpowder weaponry, and their creations are sought after by armies, mercenaries, and collectors across the continent.
Pailune's warriors have a long tradition of archery and marksmanship. Under Jian's leadership, the northern kingdom has also begun adopting firearms technology from Demeniss while maintaining its own traditions of craftsmanship.
While the base Attack of 14 is moderate, this shotgun compensates with other advantages. Consider enhancing it through the refining system to boost its damage output.
Shotguns deal maximum damage at close range where all pellets connect. Close the distance quickly before firing for best results.

Once the Odek ruins have been liberated by completing the Executioner of Justice quest chain for the Odek tribe in northern Pailune, a tribal vendor becomes available in Odek territory who stocks the Pailune Shotgun alongside a small selection of other Odek-themed equipment. The vendor is one of the primary late-unlocking sources for this weapon and typically keeps the item in stock rather than rotating it out.
Reach Chapter 8. Pailune opens at the end of Chapter 7. The Odek tribe quest line is only available once Chapter 8 is active.
Complete 15 of 27 Pailune Militia faction quests. These appear on the Pailune contribution board.
Finish the Skoghorn Tribe or Longleaf Tribe quest set. Completing one automatically unlocks the other; either counts toward the gate.
Return to Pailune. Fast travel back to the Pailune fast travel point to trigger the Stjar clan and Odek tribe quests on the board.
Complete the Odek quest Executioner of Justice. This includes the three red-smoke pit puzzle (stab to drain, not cleave) and a boss fight against the Ashen Warrior. Defeating him liberates the Odek ruins and enables the vendor.
The Odek vendor accepts any hide type as a trust gift, which makes trust 100 reachable using the hides already accumulated from hunting around Pailune and Wayward Woods. Gifting hides until the vendor reaches trust 100 unlocks the vendor's full inventory and any trust-gated exclusives.
The Pailune Shotgun's availability from the Odek tribe vendor complements the existing Pailune equipment-shop stock, giving players a second reliable source for the weapon once the tribal quest chain is complete.
The canonical crafting path for the Pailune Shotgun comes from the recipe book Ranged Weapons of the World: Guns, Vol. III. The book is stored in the back library of the Skullstone Institute in southern Hernand. Inside the institute, the library sits behind the main contribution-shop counter. Climb to the second floor of the library and the map pin marks the shelf that holds the recipe volume. Reading the book unlocks the crafting recipe and lets the shotgun be crafted at any standard equipment crafting station.
The same Guns Vol. III book also teaches recipes for several other craftable shotguns and long guns in the same tier, so a player who is building a ranged-focused Damiane loadout can pick up the entire family of late-game craftable firearms from a single library visit rather than hunting merchants one by one. This crafting route complements the Odek tribe vendor documented above: the crafting path is available earlier (no Odek quest chain required), while the vendor route avoids the material cost of crafting. Players who are still mid-way through Pailune faction progression typically use the crafting path first and fall back on the vendor only after they have stripped the weapon for its abyss gears and want a second clean copy.
