The Oblivion of the Past is a unique two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert. With 24 attack power, it ties for one of the highest base damage values among two-handed weapons in the game. The weapon also carries a Level 2 Critical Rate bonus and a Level 1 Attack Speed boost, giving it a well-rounded stat profile that works for multiple playstyles.

The weapon comes pre-equipped with three Abyss Cores that reinforce its balanced design: Stamina Siphon for resource recovery, Attack Speed I for faster swings, and Critical Rate I for additional crit chance. Two empty slots remain for players who want to push the build in a specific direction.

Oblivion of the Past is hidden inside a cave located underneath the train tracks east of the Crimson Mountain Fortress. The cave entrance is easy to miss. Look for a narrow opening at the base of the cliffs below the tracks. Follow the cave path to find the weapon waiting at the end.
This weapon cannot be purchased from merchants or crafted at a blacksmith. It is a one-time pickup from the cave.
Oblivion of the Past supports 10 levels of refinement at any Blacksmith. Starting from 24 base attack, each refinement tier pushes the damage higher. The materials required come from mining and gathering throughout Pywel. Investing in refinement here pays off well because of the strong starting base.
The Stamina Siphon core recovers stamina on each hit, which helps sustain aggressive combo chains without needing to stop and regenerate. This is especially valuable during prolonged fights against bosses with large health pools.
With both Critical Rate Lv. 2 and an Attack Speed bonus, Oblivion of the Past lands crits more often than most two-handed weapons. Stack additional crit damage Abyss Cores in the empty slots for maximum burst.
The name and hidden location suggest this weapon has ties to the region's history. While the full lore is not yet documented, its placement beneath the Crimson Mountain Fortress connects it to the fortifications built during older conflicts in Pywel.
Use charged heavy attacks to take advantage of the high base damage. A single fully charged swing from a 24-attack weapon can delete smaller enemies outright.
