Overview

The Grotevant Cloak is a cloak in Crimson Desert that is exclusive to the PS5 version of the game. It provides 0 DEF and Fire Resistance Lv.3. The Grotevant Cloak is part of the Grotevant Plate Set, which is automatically granted to all players who purchase and play Crimson Desert on PlayStation 5, regardless of which edition they buy.

While the 0 base DEF means this cloak offers no innate damage reduction before refinement, the Fire Resistance Lv.3 still makes it functional for protecting against fire-based attacks in the early game. As a starter bonus item, it gives PS5 players an immediate elemental resistance option from the beginning of the adventure.

How to Obtain

The Grotevant Cloak is obtained by purchasing and playing Crimson Desert on the PS5. It is included as part of the Grotevant Plate Set bonus, which is available to all PS5 owners regardless of game edition (Standard or Deluxe). The set items appear in the player's inventory from the start of the game.

The Grotevant Cloak is part of the Grotevant Plate Set. The full set includes:

• Grotevant Plate Helm

• Grotevant Plate Armor (10 DEF)

• Grotevant Plate Gloves

• Grotevant Plate Boots

• Grotevant Cloak (Fire Resistance Lv.3)

The Grotevant Plate Set is a PS5-exclusive counterpart to the Kairos set, which is exclusive to Deluxe Edition purchasers. PC and Xbox players do not receive the Grotevant set.

Notes

• Despite having 0 base DEF, this cloak can be refined at a Blacksmith to gain defense through the Refinement system.

• The Fire Resistance Lv.3 is the maximum resistance tier for a single equipment piece. This matches the Kairos Cloak and other top-tier plate cloaks in effectiveness.

• Players will likely replace this cloak once they find cloaks with both defense and resistance, such as the Dark Marksman's Plate Cloak (3 DEF, Fire Res Lv.3).
