Fortress Keys is a main quest in Crimson Desert and the fourth mission of Chapter 11: Truth and Reality, part of the Brave New World sub-chapter. The documents recovered from Strange Manor point to a series of security mechanisms guarding the approach to a massive fortified structure. Before Kliff can proceed, he must locate and activate three "fortress keys" scattered across the Delesyia region. Each key is a mechanical device that, when activated, disables one layer of the fortress's defenses.

The first key is hidden in the aqueduct tunnels beneath Delesyia. Enter through the maintenance hatch marked on the map. Navigate the linear tunnel, dealing with small groups of guards along the way. The key mechanism is a lever at the tunnel's end. Pull it to disable the first defense layer.
The second key is inside a locked clockwork mechanism in the district's central tower. The door requires solving a gear puzzle: rotate three interlocking gears until the teeth align. The solution is to turn the left gear twice, the right gear once, and the center gear three times. Once aligned, the door opens and the key mechanism can be activated.
The third key is guarded by a squad of elite soldiers in the Undercity. This is a combat encounter with seven enemies, including two heavy-armored captains. Defeat them all, then activate the key mechanism on the wall to disable the final defense layer.
The fortress keys can be done in any order. Start with the aqueduct if you prefer an easier combat introduction to the area.
The gear puzzle in the Clockwork District is timed. If you take too long, the gears reset. Work quickly once you start turning.
The Undercity guards are the toughest enemies in this quest. Bring your best equipment and healing supplies.
Once all three keys are activated, the fortress is immediately accessible. Prepare for the confrontation in the next quest before proceeding.
