Dark Ringleader's Cloth Armor

The Dark Ringleader's Cloth Armor is a Body Armor piece in Crimson Desert. It is one of four pieces in the Dark Ringleader's armor set, all hidden in waterfall caves west of Hernand. With 3 DEF, Movement Speed Lv.2, and a passive Spirit regeneration effect, this chest piece is widely considered one of the strongest free armor pieces available in the early game. It also comes pre-slotted with two Abyss Cores that provide Damage Reduction and additional Movement Speed.

These pre-slotted cores add meaningful defensive and mobility utility on top of the armor's base stats. The Damage Reduction 1.0 from Aegis II reduces incoming damage by a flat 1.0, which is particularly impactful during the early game when enemies deal moderate damage values. The Haste I core stacks with the base Movement Speed Lv.2, giving the armor an effective movement speed bonus of Lv.3 when equipped.

How to Obtain

The Dark Ringleader's Cloth Armor is found inside Blade Cavern, located along the river north of Shadowheart Grotto, west of Hernand. The cavern entrance is hidden behind a waterfall at the northern end of the river. Use the Stab skill to dash through the waterfall and enter the cave.

Inside Blade Cavern, follow the passage to find the treasure chest containing the cloth armor. There are no enemies guarding the chest directly, though players may encounter minor wildlife near the river before entering.

To reach Blade Cavern efficiently, fast travel to Hernand and head west toward the river. Follow the river north past the other waterfall caves (Cloudmist Cave and Shadowheart Grotto) until reaching the northernmost waterfall. Blade Cavern is the last cave along this stretch of river.

The Dark Ringleader's Cloth Armor is a top-tier early-game chest piece because of its combination of defense, mobility, Spirit regeneration, and pre-slotted Abyss Cores. Movement Speed Lv.2 is one of the highest movement speed bonuses available on body armor in the game, and the Spirit +0.1 per second passive steadily replenishes the resource used for special abilities and skills.

This armor pairs naturally with the rest of the Dark Ringleader set for a full mobility loadout. The Dark Ringleader's Cloth Helm adds Movement Speed Lv.1 and Stamina Regen +2%, while the Dark Ringleader's Leather Gloves contribute 12 ATK and Critical Rate Lv.1. Together, the set provides a well-rounded foundation for agile melee builds.

Players who prefer raw defense over mobility may want to switch to heavier body armor later in the game. However, because Crimson Desert has no equipment weight penalty, many players continue wearing the Dark Ringleader's Cloth Armor into the mid-game for the Spirit regeneration alone.

Notes

• The Spirit +0.1 per second passive is always active while the armor is equipped. This steady Spirit income reduces downtime between skill uses and complements builds that rely on frequent ability casts.

• The pre-slotted Abyss Cores (Aegis II and Haste I) cannot be removed or replaced. They provide their bonuses permanently.

• Upgrading the armor through Refinement at the blacksmith increases its base defense while preserving all other effects.

• The Dark Ringleader's set has no formal set bonus. Each piece works independently, so players can combine this armor with pieces from other sets without losing any bonuses.

• Many players consider this the single best free armor piece available in the early game due to the combination of 3 DEF, two Abyss Cores, Movement Speed Lv.2, and Spirit regeneration.
