Overview

Violet is a spirit girl in Beast of Reincarnation who is visible only to Emma. She lives with Emma at the edge of a Colony, and official material describes her as the one presence Emma is able to open up to. Where Emma begins the story without memories and without emotions, Violet is emotionally expressive, and she sometimes behaves toward Emma the way a guardian would.

She was revealed on June 7, 2026 during the PC Gaming Show segment that also introduced the game's Japanese voice cast, and her official profile was published two days later alongside the rest of the named characters. She is voiced in Japanese by Miyuki Sato.

Why She Matters to Emma

Violet's role only makes sense against Emma's isolation. Emma is a Blightborn, and the people in her settlement treated her as a Malefact rather than as a neighbour, which is why she was living apart from the community when the story opens. Her own profile says she has neither memories of her past nor emotions, and that she wants to understand the feelings she lacks.

Violet is the counterweight to all of that. She is expressive where Emma is blank, protective where Emma has been shunned, and present where nobody else would come near. That the one companion Emma had before Koo is a spirit only she can see is a fairly precise statement of how alone the game intends her to be at the start, and it sets up the loneliness that director Kota Furushima has described as the emotional core of the whole project.

Open Questions

Almost everything mechanical about Violet is unconfirmed. Official material has not said what she is, where she came from, whether other people have ever seen her, whether she travels with Emma once the journey to the Capital begins, or whether she has any role in gameplay as opposed to story. Nor has it explained why a girl afflicted by the Blight would be the one person able to see her.

The game has been consistent that every character in it is holding something back, and Violet arrived with less attached to her than anyone else in the cast. This page will be expanded once the game ships and her role is playable rather than described.
