Overview
Two things changed at launch that affect buyers. Some Deluxe Edition pre-orders did not deliver their bonus content on release day; the publisher fixed this the following day and advised restarting the storefront client. Separately, a Standard-to-Deluxe upgrade was published, so a Standard buyer can add the Deluxe content without repurchasing the game. Both are covered under Post-Launch Updates.
This page collects the purchasing questions that come up most often about Beast of Reincarnation. It was written during the pre-order window and has been kept as a record of it, with the current buying options at the top. It focuses on confirmed answers. For edition tiers and pricing, see Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses; for platform availability, see Release Date and Platforms.

Buying It Now That It Has Launched
The pre-order window closed on August 4, 2026. What replaced it is a two-tier storefront plus a paid upgrade path, so nothing from the Deluxe bundle is stranded behind a date that has passed.
Option | Price | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
Standard Edition | $59.99 | The full campaign and every combat, exploration and progression system |
Digital Deluxe Edition | $69.99 | Standard plus the Deluxe contents in one purchase |
Deluxe upgrade, sold separately | $9.99 | Adds the Deluxe contents to an existing Standard copy without repurchasing the game. Published on Steam as its own store item at launch. |
Subscription | Console, PC and Ultimate all carry the base game. The Deluxe contents are not included. |
The Deluxe contents themselves are the Black and Brown Shiba skins for Koo, the Oni's Hat for Emma, the Big Dipper sword, 100,000 Amber, and a set of vegetable seedlings. The 30,000 Amber that came with a pre-order is no longer obtainable; everything else in the bundle still is.
One launch-day problem is worth recording because it affected a lot of buyers. Deluxe pre-orders on Steam were initially missing the DLC entitlement in their libraries. The fix landed on August 5, 2026 when the entitlement was added to the pre-order package, and restarting the storefront client was the advised step to pull it down. Anyone still missing content from a launch-window Deluxe purchase should check the DLC list on the store page rather than assuming it was never granted.
Is There A Demo Or Network Test?
No demo or network test has been announced. Beast of Reincarnation never had a public demo, beta, or network stress test before release, and none has been added since. The only public-facing gameplay material is what has appeared in the official trailers and in the embargoed press hands-on coverage following the Xbox Developer Direct and PlayStation State of Play presentations.
Game Freak's expertise has historically been in their long-running franchise work rather than in service-style live games, and Beast of Reincarnation has been framed throughout its marketing as a self-contained single-player title rather than a live-service or networked title. No demo or trial was released before launch, and none has been added since. Game Pass acts as the effective try-before-you-buy route on Xbox and PC.
Is There Day-One DLC Or A Season Pass?
No day-one DLC and no season pass have been announced. The Standard Edition includes the full campaign and every published combat, exploration, and progression system. The Deluxe Edition adds cosmetic items (Black and Brown Shiba skins for Koo, Oni's Hat for Emma), the Big Dipper sword for Emma, an Amber stipend, and physical vegetable seedlings on the physical PS5 edition. None of those additions are mid-campaign content gates.
Post-launch DLC, expansions, or roadmap content have not been announced. Treat any third-party leak or rumor about post-launch content as unverified until the publisher confirms it.
Is There Crossplay Or Cross-Progression?
Crossplay does not apply. Beast of Reincarnation is a single-player action RPG with no multiplayer, no co-op, no PvP, and no shared-world features. Crossplay is a multiplayer-only concept, and this title has no multiplayer mode of any kind.
Cross-progression exists within the Microsoft platform ecosystem only. The Xbox Play Anywhere entitlement covers both Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC under a single purchase from the Microsoft Store, with save data synced between them through Xbox Live cloud saves. There is no cross-progression announced between PlayStation 5 and Xbox or PC.
Steam (PC) saves are independent of the Microsoft Store entitlement; cloud saves on Steam use Steam Cloud and do not sync to Xbox or PlayStation libraries.
When Did Pre-Orders Open?
Pre-orders opened on April 20, 2026 across all storefronts. Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 (US), £49.99 (UK), €54.99 (EU), and ¥7,979 (Japan). Deluxe Edition is priced at $69.99 (US), £57.99 (UK), €64.99 (EU), and ¥8,989 (Japan). See Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses for the full edition stack and per-region pricing.
What Do I Get For Pre-Ordering?
Any pre-order (Standard or Deluxe, digital or physical, on any platform) before the August 4, 2026 launch grants the same two items:
Brown Shiba Skin for Koo: a cosmetic skin that retextures the dog companion. The same cosmetic also ships independently as part of the Deluxe Edition.
Amber stipend of 30,000: paid into the in-game wallet of Amber, the universal currency.
A Deluxe Edition pre-order receives the pre-order Brown Shiba Skin plus the Deluxe-exclusive Black Shiba Skin (the brown is duplicated), and the pre-order Amber stipend stacks with the Deluxe stipend for a combined 130,000 Amber on a Deluxe pre-order.
Is There A Collector's Edition?
No Collector's Edition, Steelbook-exclusive Edition, statue bundle, or signature bundle has been announced. The two announced retail tiers are Standard and Deluxe, each available in digital form on all three platforms and in physical form on PlayStation 5 (Standard and Deluxe) and Xbox Series X|S (Standard only). Physical PS5 Standard purchases include a serial code that unlocks the Digital Deluxe bonus contents, so a physical PS5 buyer effectively receives the Deluxe stack for the Standard price.
The Deluxe physical edition for PlayStation 5 includes real-world vegetable seedlings, a tie-in to the plant motif that runs through Emma's design and the broader story.
Will The Game Be On Other Platforms?
Only the three announced platforms (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S) have been confirmed. No Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, macOS, Linux, Android, or iOS release has been announced. PC Linux support depends on Steam Play compatibility; Steam Deck verification status has not been published. See System Requirements for what is known about the PC version.
Is It On Game Pass?
Yes. Beast of Reincarnation launches day one on Xbox Game Pass. This includes Console Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S, PC Game Pass on Windows, Game Pass Ultimate (all three modes plus Cloud), and Xbox Cloud Gaming. See Xbox Game Pass for the full subscription stack.
There is no equivalent PlayStation Plus inclusion announced; the PlayStation 5 version is sold standalone through the PlayStation Store and physical retail.
Is It Steam Deck Verified?
Steam Deck verification has still not been announced, and community technical tracking lists the Deck prompt status for the game as unknown. The Microsoft Store version is Handheld Optimized for Xbox-compatible handheld devices, which suggests the game has been tuned for handheld form factors, but Steam Deck specifically requires a separate Steam verification pass. Treat Steam Deck status as unconfirmed until Steam publishes a verification badge for the title.
Can I Refund A Pre-Order?
Refund policies vary by storefront and follow each storefront's standard pre-order refund rules. As a general guideline: Steam allows pre-order refunds at any time before launch; the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store allow pre-order refunds before the game unlocks. Physical pre-orders follow each retailer's individual policy. Check the storefront where you placed the pre-order for the authoritative rules.

Difficulty and Accessibility carries the current picture.
