Amber is the in-game currency of Beast of Reincarnation, the action RPG developed by Game Freak and published by Fictions. Pre-release material confirms Amber as the currency that Emma carries with her across the long journey from the eastern countryside toward the Capital, with bonus Amber bundled into pre-orders and into the Deluxe Edition. Specific item prices and shop inventories have not been shown publicly, so this article focuses on what has been confirmed: the role of Amber as currency and the launch-day stipends that come with each edition.
Role in the Game
Amber is described in pre-release material as the in-game currency, language that strongly implies a vendor or upgrade economy of the kind common to action RPGs. Players spend Amber on purchases as they progress through the game's district levels, and the bonus stipends that accompany pre-orders and the Deluxe Edition give players a head start before they have explored far enough to find sellers or progression hubs of their own.
Beast of Reincarnation has a rich gear and stat ecosystem. Emma equips katanas, bows, and crossbows; Koo wears Charms; both characters benefit from Spirit Stones socketed into armor for stat buffs and effects. Pre-release material has not specified which of these systems Amber is spent on, only that Amber is the currency. Treat the bonus Amber as a launch-day cushion rather than a confirmed price for any specific item.
Bonus Amber by Edition
Two stipends of bonus Amber have been publicly confirmed. The first is a 30,000 Amber pre-order bonus that applies to every edition of the game. The second is a 100,000 Amber bundle included with the Digital Deluxe Edition. The bundles stack: a player who pre-orders the Digital Deluxe Edition receives both grants.
Source | Amber Granted | Applies To |
|---|---|---|
Pre-Order Bonus (any edition) | 30,000 Amber | Pre-orders of Standard or Deluxe Edition, on any platform. |
Digital Deluxe Edition | 100,000 Amber | Bundled with Digital Deluxe purchase, in addition to the pre-order bonus when applicable. |
Physical PS5 Standard Release | 100,000 Amber | All standard PS5 physical copies include a serial code that unlocks the same bonuses as the Digital Deluxe Edition. |
See Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses for the full list of what is bundled with each edition, including cosmetic items, the Big Dipper sword, and the Brown and Black Shiba skins for Koo.
Physical PS5 Pathway
The physical PS5 standard release ships with a serial code in the box that unlocks the same bundle of bonuses as the Digital Deluxe Edition. For Amber specifically, that means a buyer who picks up the standard physical PS5 disc receives the same 100,000 Amber bundle that comes with the Digital Deluxe Edition. This is the only path that lets a physical buyer match the Deluxe stipend without paying the Deluxe upcharge, and it applies only to PS5 physical copies.

The Digital Deluxe Edition grants 100,000 Amber, in addition to the pre-order bonus.
All physical PS5 standard releases include a serial code that unlocks the Digital Deluxe bonuses, including the 100,000 Amber bundle.
What is Not yet Known
Pre-release material does not yet detail several aspects of how Amber will function in practice. Until Game Freak confirms otherwise through the launch build, the following remain open questions:
Specific item prices in Amber. No vendor menu has been shown with a price tag, so it is not possible to gauge how far 30,000 or 100,000 Amber will stretch.
How Amber is acquired during normal play. Drop sources, whether through enemy defeats, exploration of Blighted Forests, Nushi boss rewards, or other means, have not been confirmed.
Whether Amber is shared between Emma and Koo or tracked separately. Both characters have distinct progression paths, so the answer is not obvious from pre-release material alone.
Whether the 30,000 and 100,000 Amber bundles arrive as one-time grants at the start of a save file or accrue in some other way.
Whether vendors restock, whether prices scale with progression, or whether Amber-locked content exists outside the gear and upgrade economy.
