Search the upper part of the central chamber in the Sub-Idyllian Ruins beneath Nimbus Fields. The entrance north of the Argent Strait teleporter provides a route through the Crystal Cave Bloom; the Chasing Clouds Sanctum entrance is a less direct approach.
From the Argent Strait teleporter, head north and climb toward the dark rocks. Look for the cave entrance marked by a bonfire and the Cave Explorer NPC.
Follow the cave inward, using a Fire Aniimo to clear roots, until the route drops toward the Crystal Cave Bloom. Activate that Bloom for return travel.
Continue to the opening leading to the lower levels and the water below.
Follow the water until a blockage near Pebbling and glowing orange crystals.
Use Tunnel to pass the blockage and enter the central cave.
Take the ramp ahead to the upper level of the central chamber, where Geodeback can be found.
Starting Aniimo | Result | Level | Materials | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Geodeback | 38 | No material listed | Choose the Geodeback branch. | |
Geodeback | 48 | 3 Loam Stones | Defeat Alpha Minespine to unlock the branch. |
The Minespine branch first requires the Alpha Minespine clear. The route to that boss opens at the Breezy Plains Branch's 120-Lumin-Amber Earthwake Revelation milestone.

Tunnel and cast Stone Shell or Earth Spikes while managing stamina and EP. Stone Shell provides a ranged option.
When the target breaks, switch to the damage dealer. Use a recovery turn when the party needs EP.
Tunnel protects against ranged attacks, rather than every attack. Pound skills can launch Geodeback out of the ground. Earth Affinity allows skill use while Tunneling and supplies the 20% BREAK effect listed in the Trait table.
