Dahmon is the player-controlled character of the Alabaster Dawn prologue and the leader of an earlier generation of Chosen who fought the original incursion of the Nyx Curse. He wields a sword-class Divine weapon and demonstrates the Aether-element Bloom Divine Art Revenant Specter, a technique not yet available to Juno o'Lira in the v0.1.0 launch build.
The prologue Chronicle The End of the World places Dahmon at the head of a nine-warrior counterattack against a Nyx Nest at the gates of the Capital. His unit includes the named Chosen Eshrin and Nima, and several unnamed companions. Across the prologue Dahmon teaches the player the core combat verbs: standard attack, dodge-roll, parry, the stagger meter, and the Divine Arts charge system that gates Bursts and Blooms.
During the prologue, Dahmon's charge cap is shown at ten, well above the three-charge cap available to Juno in the launch build. This is foreshadowing for later-game charge upgrades; the v0.1.0 build does not yet ship the unlock path that lifts Juno's cap above three.
Dahmon's signature Divine Art is Revenant Specter, a 2-charge Aether Bloom that costs no mana and resolves as a charged teleport-and-strike chain ending in a heavy knockback punch. The art's Bloom activation (hold the trigger) has no equivalent player-side implementation in v0.1.0; the only Divine Arts Juno can equip at launch are Bursts (Bramble Quake and Leaf Blades).
Ally | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Eshrin | Reinforcing Chosen | Arrives mid-encounter to halt an enraged Nuemera and let the squad finish it. |
Nima | Aspect-pair specialist | Combines with Dahmon for an Ignis/Cryo team attack against the Prologue Spider. |
Unnamed Chosen (x6) | Squad members | Fall in the prologue; not playable. |
Despite Dahmon's leadership and Aether mastery, the original counterattack is defeated. The Divine weapons of the Twelve Chosen vanish at a critical moment, and the gods themselves retreat or disappear from the world. The prologue closes with Dahmon's group lost, the Curse spreading, and the world preparing to await its next-generation Chosen. The protagonist torch passes to Juno from Lyhamn at the start of Chapter 1.
Dahmon's prologue charge cap of ten is the highest seen in the launch build. Juno's cap of three may climb across the planned 7-chapter EA roadmap.
Dahmon's Divine weapon is sword-class. Other Chosen of his era wielded different Divine types; the launch build has not enumerated their full kits.
Several other named prologue Chosen are referenced in the Chronicle timeline but do not appear as combatants in v0.1.0.
