Shugo Festival
October 27, 2026 at 07:20 AM
Added tile memory activity tactics
The Shugo Festival is a recurring event layer of minigames staged across Atreia, hosted by the Shugo, the franchise's merchant-minded little traders. It sits alongside the dungeon and PvP loops rather than inside them, and it is one of the few features NCsoft has described for the global build specifically rather than carrying over from Korean and Taiwanese patch notes.
On the Korean and Taiwanese service, and in NCsoft's English announcements about that service, the same content is called the Shugo Festa. It has run there since launch on November 19, 2025, and most of what is known about how it works comes from that service's patch notes, summarised below.

Activity | Shape |
|---|---|
Shugo defence | Protect the Shugo from waves of incoming enemies |
Pet racing | Race your pets against other players |
Laser dodging | An obstacle challenge built around avoiding laser hazards |
Others | The published description is open-ended and lists these as examples rather than a full roster |
The global store page lists wings, skins, pets and decor among the Festival's rewards. On the Korean service the Festa pays out more than cosmetics: each event opens monster cubes that can contain gear, it pays Abyss Points, two of its minigames give painting remnants that craft into decorations, and it pays a token currency for the Shugo Festa shop. That shop has kept purchase history across seasons, added new products for Chapter 1, and began selling higher-grade manastones and spiritstones on September 16, 2026.
On the Korean service the Festival is a standing, recurring part of the game rather than a one-off event: every Shugo Festa activates every hour on the hour (since April 22, 2026), and new minigames arrive with major updates, such as one added with Chapter 1 on July 1, 2026.
As of October 15, 2026 NCsoft has not published a calendar for the global Festival, a list of every minigame in it, or the reward table for any individual instalment.
The global service does run on the same key system: NCsoft's notice for the global Special Quai Membership lists a higher Shugo Festa Key holding cap as a member benefit, 21 keys instead of 12.
Later global posts confirm the Festival on the global servers. The October 13 PDT / October 14 CEST global patch fixed player positions resetting when reconnecting to the network during the Shugo Festival. The global Halloween event pays 20 Halloween Pumpkin Coins (Event) for taking part once a week per server, and its coin shop sells Shugo Festival Reward Key (Bound) for 7 coins, three per server a week. NCsoft's global server transfer Q&A copies server-wide Shugo Festival reward progress to the destination server while leaving the origin's progress unchanged.
The official guidebook for the Korean service (updated June 30, 2026) describes the Festa as short minigames played against other players. When a Festa's entry time arrives an icon appears to the left of the minimap, and clicking it takes you there at once. You must be ready by the start time; once it has started, or once the event is full, you cannot get in. The Festa window has seven parts:
Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
Category | The list of Festa minigames and the Festa Shop |
Time slots | Which minigames run in each time slot |
Festa list | Progress of each Festa |
Selected Festa | Its rules and details |
Rewards | What the selected Festa can pay |
Reward keys | Keys held and when they recharge |
Move | Teleport to the selected Festa |
The main reward is the Centuryroot Token (백년삼 증표; the name used in NCsoft's global notices), which you spend in the Festa Shop. Claiming a Festa's rewards uses Shugo Festa Keys, which recharge automatically every cycle, and finishing higher in the ranking lets you use more keys on the same event.
Festas spawned at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour until April 8, 2026, then alternated between even and odd hours, and since April 22 every Festa opens every hour on the hour. NCsoft's English announcement of the Season 3 update mentions the adjusted spawn intervals.
Since July 1, 2026 each event is played on its own instanced map. You enter at once without talking to an NPC, return to where you were afterwards, and no longer spend a return scroll.
Characters using a Spacetime Rift cannot enter (since July 29, 2026).
A minimum score guards against idle play: players below it are ranked last (since December 3, 2025).
Rewards are claimed with Shugo Festa reward keys. Since April 8, 2026 the base supply is seven keys per server per week, or 14 with a Korean membership, and keys added from the reward key item count across the server and can go past the recharge cap of 30.
Keys are issued per season and expire with it; the Chapter 1 keys are valid until November 4, 2026.
Since July 1, 2026 every event opens at least two monster cubes, or four with a membership.
NCsoft's notice for the global Special Quai Membership raises the Shugo Festa Key holding cap from 12 to 21 for members.
Date | Change |
|---|---|
December 17, 2025 | Base and daily attempts for the Festa and Dimensional Invasion halved, with rewards doubled |
February 25, 2026 | Level 45 characters can receive lower-level gear from Festa rewards |
March 25, 2026 | Gear from Festa monster cubes can be auto-extracted; Lesser Manastones and Lesser Soulstones removed from Festa cube rewards |
April 8, 2026 | Base keys set to seven per server per week (14 with a membership); guaranteed rewards doubled in quantity and chance-based rewards doubled in chance |
April 22, 2026 | Slightly lower chance of Unique gear among the main rewards; gatherables in the base reward cut from 10 to 8 |
May 13, 2026 | Seed of Insight added to the possible rewards; its chance fell from 100% to 70% on July 1 |
June 17, 2026 | Festa achievements count participation instead of placings |
July 29, 2026 | The entry window shows how many keys you hold, and Festa skills can have their own key bindings |
September 16, 2026 | Superior Manastones and Superior Soulstones sold in the Festa Shop |
September 23, 2026 | Centuryroot Tokens can be kept in character and server storage |
October 7, 2026 | Each mode's painting remnant merged into one Shugo Festa (Remnant: Painting), with old remnants convertible; Stigma Shards added to the Festa Shop; Soul Crystals sold in bundles of 50, up to 15 a week |
The names below are translations of the Korean names, except Nyerk Shooter, which is NCsoft's own English name for that minigame.

Minigame | How it plays | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Shugo Merchant Protection | Defend a Shugo merchant against waves of bandits, including a bandit cannon | Matches the global description of protecting the Shugos from waves of enemies. Since July 1, 2026 rewards need a contribution of at least 1,500, and the top two players open three cubes (six with a membership). |
Mysterious Track | A pet race past whirlwinds, updraft jump pads and speed pads | Matches the global description of racing pets. Pet possession effects do not change speed (since January 21, 2026), and whirlwinds slow racers instead of knocking them back since August 12, 2026. |
Jump Jump | A balloon game | Laser balloons were added on January 28, 2026 and balloons that must be grabbed before they explode on April 8, 2026 |
Hidden Lugi | A chase between Shugo and Lugi players | When a Shugo catches a Lugi they swap roles (since January 21, 2026); rounds last about three and a half minutes |
Isn't It This Tile? | A tile game | Flight is disabled (since December 24, 2025) |
Goldrin's Treasure | A treasure hunt against a thief | Some treasure spawn points are random since April 8, 2026 |
Odyle Droplet Collection | Collect droplets | Droplets respawn faster since December 3, 2025 |
Wraith Evasion | An evasion game built around wraiths | Running since Season 1 |
Higher Higher | A climb up floating islands | Back in rotation since February 11, 2026 after a barrier fault |
Nyerk Shooter | Added January 21, 2026 with Season 2. NCsoft's English announcement describes up to four characters aiming at and bursting falling balloons in mid-air; a special supply object grants rapid fire | Gives a painting remnant that crafts into a town painting |
Shugo's Dilemma | Score by gathering exactly as many players as the number shown on a randomly placed platform | Added July 1, 2026; rounds 5 and 6 have double-score platforms since July 15 |
Dimensional Invasion (차원 침공) is the Festa's companion field event and shares its menu and many of its patch notes. NCsoft's English announcements name the two together when changing their rewards and spawn timing. The guidebook (updated April 7, 2026) describes it as a field event that breaks out at random in each faction's territories: many players gather to beat back waves of enemies and a boss. Clearing it pays a reward plus a bonus by contribution ranking.
Rule | Korean service detail |
|---|---|
Timing | Every hour at 30 minutes past (since April 8, 2026; before that on the hour) |
Rewards | Unlimited participation, but rewards at most twice a day and 14 times a week |
Entry window | Three minutes (since December 3, 2025) |
Finding it | A system message announces it and its icon appears on the map |
Restrictions | Cannot be entered while using a Spacetime Rift (July 29, 2026) |
Minimum score | Players below the minimum score get a system message explaining why they received no reward (April 22, 2026) |
Its events include Cursed Sword, Spirit Raid and a Beritra raid (descriptive names), whose monsters were made tougher on January 21 and March 25, 2026.
Use these tactics when the matching activity is offered. Follow the rules displayed for the course you enter; the service-specific schedules, entry limits and reward rules above keep their separate scope.
Activity | What to watch and do |
|---|---|
Mysterious Track | Take the blue gates for a speed boost and collect Power Orbs for boosts and stamina recovery. Steer around the whirlwinds that slow racers. |
Wraith Evasion | Open Mysterious Cubes to release purple scoring orbs. Avoid dark blue orbs: they slow you without awarding points, but do not turn you into a wraith. If a wraith catches you, catch another Daeva to return from wraith form. |
Odyle Flight Frenzy | Route your flight through acceleration rings for speed and restored Flight Power. Zoom the camera out and check above and below for scoring orbs. |
Merchant defense | Destroy the cannons early in each incursion to reduce area damage to the merchants. Stop exploding insectoids before they reach the merchants; their low health makes them practical targets, but they are immune to Petrification. Petrification Chests can stop enemies that are susceptible. |
Goldrin's Treasure | Look for the light beams marking chests. Break Goldrin's Storage and collect the Odyle Orbs it releases. Fly to survey more ground for storage objects and chests. |
Jump Jump | Collect scoring orbs while watching the lasers. Jump over the beams and move away from places where several lasers overlap. |
Hidden Lugi | As a Lugi, blend in with the movements of the surrounding Lugi and collect orbs discreetly. As a Shugo, scan an area for Lugi collecting orbs, sprinting or jumping; taking an orb gives a disguised player a movement boost. |
Isn't It This Tile? | Memorize the safe tiles during their brief reveal. Collect scoring objects, then return to a remembered safe tile before the countdown ends. Use nearby orbs as landmarks, remembering that collected orbs no longer mark the tile. |
