Kaldrix, styled Scourge Kaldrix in NCsoft's English announcement, is the final boss of Chalice of Muspel, the Sanctuary raid added to the Korean and Taiwanese service on May 27, 2026. The Korean name is 지저의 재앙 칼드릭스, the scourge of the underworld. Some English coverage renders the name as Kaldriks or Caldrix.

Global service: Chalice of Muspel is in the global client's game data as of its September 18, 2026 snapshot, but NCsoft has not announced it for the global service as of October 7, 2026. Everything on this page describes the Korean and Taiwanese service.
Reward | Notes |
|---|---|
Lava Heart Weapon (Extend) | Weapon from the final boss |
Lava Heart Barrier | Guard from the final boss |
Kaldrix Brooch | For the Brooch slot introduced with the raid; the conversion recipe needs one Gear Change Voucher: Kaldrix since June 17, 2026 |
Pet: Red Dragon | Reward for the members of the first force to clear the raid |
The first-clear event was measured by the time Kaldrix died. It was extended on June 10, 2026 to cover the first twenty forces.
Kaldrix is fought after the gatekeeper Iscariel, who drops no loot of his own but has to be beaten again on every new entry. Strategy write-ups for Hard describe a fight built on colour and lanes. At 75% and again at 35% health he raises red, green and blue shields while lines of coloured orbs travel toward him, and each player has to shift the orb in their lane to the colour of his outer shield; wrong colours deal heavy raid damage. At 50% the arena floods with lava and flight is unlocked for a phase of sweeping beams and a bouncing bomb. At 15% he channels a 42-second wipe cast while the raid destroys eight tethered orbs at the edge of the arena.
Korean strategy guides written after the first clears, chiefly one detailed guide whose author warned it may contain mistakes, add more structure. Most red zones put a mark over the player hit, and a marked player who is hit again before it fades wipes the raid. The colour-lane pattern the guides call the traffic light uses orbs that cycle red, green and blue in eight directions around the arena; one orb exploding badly hurts the raid and two wipe it. The second traffic light, at roughly a third of Kaldrix's health, doubles the lanes at four of the eight positions. Between them Kaldrix uses fire zones centred on a target, gather and spread patterns, a burning ball that bounces between nearby players, and front and back slams. Near 20% Kaldrix moves to the centre and raises eight fire essences with a timer of about 42 seconds while waves roll in from the edge, which matches the wipe cast described above. The guides stress that a force with enough damage skips some patterns, so the order varies between groups.
The Korean update notes name several of Kaldrix's patterns while fixing them, which shows how the fight is built (names below are plain renderings of the Korean):
Pattern | What the notes show |
|---|---|
Burning Order (타오르는 질서) | Kaldrix shows a ring effect and summons Kaldrix's Servants (칼드릭스의 종복) that explode. Being hit by two servant explosions used to be instant death; that rule was removed on June 10, 2026, their hit areas have been shown as an effect since June 4, and their explosion damage on Normal was lowered on June 17 |
Unbearable Heat (버틸 수 없는 열기) | Fires flame projectiles and leads into Spreading Flames (퍼져나가는 화염); a June 10 fix stopped the Brand of Hellfire (업화의 낙인) mark from staying on players into that follow-up |
Special patterns | Health-threshold patterns take priority over the basic rotation; a June 10 fix stopped a sudden health drop from skipping them |
Targeting | A June 4 fix stopped the skill order from breaking when the targeted player moved far away |
Since July 8, 2026 the monsters Kaldrix summons disappear when the fight resets or he dies.
