HUD Editor
October 8, 2026 at 10:40 PM
Update Korean loadout sets to five without changing HUD presets.
The HUD Editor lets players rearrange AION 2's interface. It arrived on the Korean service on March 18, 2026 as a PC-only feature, gained presets and sharing in May, and reached the mobile client in a reduced form in August. NCsoft's English announcement of the May 13, 2026 Korean update mentioned the new HUD preset feature, but as of October 7, 2026 its global notices do not describe the editor. The Korean client calls the feature HUD editing; HUD Editor is a descriptive English name, not an official one.
Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
Layout | Move, hide and unhide interface elements, select several at once, and group or ungroup them. Some elements can also be resized, made taller or flipped. |
Scale and grid | Adjustable grid spacing, interface scale and chat font size |
Snapping | Snap to the grid and to other elements, with a margin setting (since May 13, 2026) |
Undo | Undo and redo, plus an in-game preview (since May 13, 2026) |
Presets | Up to six named layouts (since May 13, 2026). A layout can be shared as a code or saved and loaded as a file, and saved files work across characters. |
Buff icons | Your own buff and debuff icons can run up to 14 per row in two rows, 28 in all (since May 13, 2026). Since August 26, 2026 the main target's buff icons can be split out, moved and resized with a separate buff editing button. |
Storage | Layouts are saved per character on the client |
Opening it | Main menu (Esc), then HUD Edit; the [i] button in the editor's settings opens a full control guide |
Boss gauges | The gauge used for boss mechanics can be placed like any other element (since September 9, 2026) |
A guide button in the editor explains each control. A fix on March 25, 2026 stopped hidden elements reappearing after logging back in or entering content. Later fixes restored the Festa ranking board when editing during a Shugo Festa (April 22, 2026) and the party loot dice button in the editor (September 23, 2026).
The August 12, 2026 patch added a smaller editor to the mobile client: grid, scale and snap settings, size and position changes, hiding and unhiding, separating the Stigma and transformation slots, and expanding the eight consumable slots.
The equipment, Arcana, skill, title and wing sets added on the same March 18 patch let players mix and match loadouts. The Korean October 7, 2026 update expanded those loadout presets from three to five. They are a separate system from the HUD layout.
An official personal DPS meter with simple and detailed modes and adjustable transparency and position was added on April 1, 2026. See Macros and Third-Party Programs.
Arena and battlefield matching pop-ups, the scoreboard and the kill log draw above the minimap since May 27, 2026.
