Founder's Packs
October 8, 2026 at 10:38 PM
Added the implemented free account-wide cosmetic claim process and duplicate-item handling.
Founder's Packs were the paid pre-launch bundles for the global release of AION 2. Buying any tier was the only way into Advance Access, the five-day head start that ran from September 30 to October 4, 2026, and each tier added cosmetics, a levelling kit and 30 days of membership. They went on sale on July 22, 2026 at 6:00 AM PDT through Steam and PURPLE, and sales closed on October 5, 2026 at 8:00 AM PDT, two hours after the free-to-play launch.
Tier | Price | Contents |
|---|---|---|
Standard | $24.99 | 5-day Early Access, Daeva's Campaign Supply Chest (Bound), the Unique-grade title Vanguard of Atreia, Special Quai Membership (30 days) |
Deluxe | $49.99 | Everything in Standard, plus the Ascended Daeva armor skin set (Bound) and the Weapon Skin Chest: Eternal Sun (Bound) |
Ultimate | $99.99 | Everything in Deluxe, plus the Daeva's Styling Chest (Bound), the Moonlit Aria armor skin set (Bound), Pet: Black Dragon and Blazing Sun Wings (Bound) |
Prices were set in US dollars and converted for other currencies at the prevailing rate.
Item | Contents |

Daeva's Campaign Supply Chest | Ten each of the Return, Courage, Speed, Benediction and Absorption Scrolls, 100 Life Potions, 50 Life Serums, 30 Healing Potions, 10,000 Power Shards and 5 Resurrection Spiritstones, all bound |
Title: Vanguard of Atreia | A Unique-grade title |
Ascended Daeva | A seven-piece armor skin set (breastplate, greaves, helm, pauldrons, gloves, boots and cloak) combining plate armor with leather |
Weapon Skin Chest: Eternal Sun | A weapon skin with a special visual effect |
Daeva's Styling Chest | A Customization Voucher and a seven-day Appearance Change Voucher |

NCsoft's product notice states that the title, skins, pet and wings are appearance-only and grant no stats. The 30-day membership was announced on the August 7, 2026 global livestream and written into the product notice on August 18, 2026; see Monetization and Memberships.
One pack per account per platform, choosing one tier. Buying packs on both Steam and PURPLE did not stack the Advance Access period or grant extra rewards.
During Advance Access a pack worked only on the platform it was bought on: a Steam pack could only be played through Steam and a PURPLE pack only through PURPLE. Everyone played on the same servers regardless.
Upgrades were sold on PURPLE only, priced at the difference: $25 from Standard to Deluxe, $75 from Standard to Ultimate and $50 from Deluxe to Ultimate.
Purchases could be cancelled before the game's release; after release, within 14 days and with less than two hours played. Refunds follow the policy of the store that took the payment.
In some countries the packs went on sale while the age rating was still under review, and NCsoft said access could be restricted for buyers who do not meet the final rating requirements.
Buying during Advance Access gave immediate access for the rest of the window, but the start and end dates were the same for every buyer, and maintenance during the window could shorten actual play time.
Founder's Pack items are delivered in game. Items not claimed during Advance Access can still be claimed afterwards on any server through a dedicated Founder's Pack claim button. As first sold, claimed items carried one of three binding types: character-bound items stayed with the character that claimed them, class-bound items could be shared with other characters of the same class, and server-bound items were shared with every character on that server.
On October 3, 2026 NCsoft said many Advance Access players had found the pack outfits a significant obstacle when playing with friends on other servers or levelling other classes, and committed to making the cosmetics available to every character on the account, on any server. The change was to be finished after Advance Access ended, with a follow-up notice explaining how characters receive access and when.
Pack | Cosmetics that become account-wide |
|---|---|
Standard | Title: Vanguard of Atreia |
Deluxe | Title: Vanguard of Atreia, Ascended Daeva armor skin, Eternal Sun weapon skin |
Ultimate | Title: Vanguard of Atreia, Ascended Daeva and Moonlit Aria armor skins, Eternal Sun weapon skin, Pet: Black Dragon, Blazing Sun Wings |
The 30-day membership, the Daeva's Campaign Supply Chest, the Daeva's Styling Chest and their contents are excluded and stay one-time rewards under the original rules. For buyers who would have chosen a higher tier without the old restriction, NCsoft said PURPLE buyers can upgrade, and Steam buyers who buy a higher-tier pack on the same account can request a refund of the lower-priced pack through customer support, with the exact process to follow in the follow-up notice.
The October 6 PDT / October 7 CEST patch implemented that cosmetic entitlement through a dedicated free section in the Shop. Eligible buyers can claim the covered skins and titles on every character and server until a closure announcement; an already-owned item cannot be bought again. Duplicate skins do not consume the paid skin limit. Duplicate inventory-item disposal and removal of duplicate skin-list entries remain planned. If a Founder purchase fails, close the game client and try again.
During Advance Access the English title menu showed the Vanguard of Atreia title as Shaper of Heavens. NCsoft listed it as a known issue on October 3 and scheduled the fix for the launch maintenance of October 4 to 5, 2026. See Known Issues.
Advance Access covers the head start itself, Monetization and Memberships the wider business model, and Global Launch and Platforms the launch calendar.
