Dying in AION 2 costs time, not progress. The official guidebook for the Korean service states that death carries no penalty such as lost experience or items. When HP reaches zero you choose how to come back; if you choose nothing within 15 minutes, the game resurrects you at your last resurrection point automatically.

Option | How it works |
|---|---|
Resurrect in place | Spend a Resurrection Spiritstone to stand up where you fell, within a time limit. Not available when another player killed you. |
Basic resurrection | Free. You return at your last resurrection point: in the open world a nearby Kibelisk, in a dungeon the entrance. |
Kisk | If a Kisk you registered at is on the same server, you can resurrect at the Kisk. |
Resurrection skill | A party member with a resurrection skill can bring you back. Since March 25, 2026 the death window shows when such a party member is in view, and since April 8 it counts only members who have the skill on their current preset, including after PvP deaths. |
Resurrection Spiritstones are the consumable for resurrecting in place, and they are a common reward on both services: NCsoft's global notices list them in the Season 1 Starter pack and in Daeva Pass rewards. On the Korean service the Wind Breeze Merchants sell them for Kina (since December 3, 2025). Since December 10, 2025 a Spiritstone resurrection restores the action gauge in full, and since December 31, 2025 a Spiritstone can only be used on yourself, not on another character.
A Kisk is a placed resurrection point that players register at. Legions have their own Kisk, Kisks placed in Sanctuaries can be used by both factions since March 11, 2026, and Spacetime Rift: Domination added a Kisk for the attacking side that anyone can register at and that holds more players than a Legion Kisk. The Kisk Summoning Stone: Force (Bound), sold from February 11, 2026, places a Force Kisk that only force members can register at: 16 players, up to 48 resurrections, one hour. Kisks can be placed in territory areas that previously blocked them since February 25, 2026. Attacking an enemy NPC or Kisk switches you into PvP mode for ten minutes.
A player killed by another player cannot use a Spiritstone to resurrect in place.
Since January 14, 2026 the death window names the enemy's server when a character from another server kills you.
Group content limits resurrections separately. Sanctuary Raids deduct in-place and skill resurrections from a limited count in some areas; since May 13, 2026 an icon marks those areas and the party and force lists show each dead member's remaining in-place and skill resurrections.
