Consumables

Consumables in AION 2 range from HP potions and buff scrolls to revive stones, Power Shards and resource refills. The official guidebook groups them as scrolls, recovery items and food, used directly when needed. Effects below come from the Korean service's patch notes and official item database, checked on October 7, 2026. English item names are the global client's or those NCsoft uses in its global posts where they exist; names without one are given as provisional renderings with the Korean.

HP Recovery

NCsoft raised HP recovery consumables on April 22, 2026, adding the effects below to each item:

Life Crystals also come from gathering and from Hidden Cubes, which Chapter 1 reworked on July 1, 2026 to give more of them. Since January 7, 2026 the Superior Life Serum recipe takes one bound Life Serum instead of three Life Potions. Since August 26, 2026, potion effects can no longer be removed by buff-dispelling skills, and since July 29, 2026 the same applies to food and drink. Earlier versions of this page used the provisional name Crystal of Life; the global name is Life Crystal.

Other Potions

Healing potions can also cure Theostone status effects other than Paralyze and Stun (January 14, 2026). Since September 23, 2026 the Expedition exchange shop sells bound Superior Healing Potions for 1,000 Tokens of Overcoming, up to 5 per character per week.

Resurrection Spiritstone

A Resurrection Spiritstone revives the character on the spot. The official guidebook says death costs no experience or items: within 15 minutes a dead character either uses a Resurrection Spiritstone to stand up where it fell or revives free of charge at the nearest resurrection obelisk (키벨리스크), or at a registered Kisk on the same server, and after 15 minutes the default revival happens automatically. A Spiritstone cannot be used after a death by PK. Since December 31, 2025 Spiritstones can no longer be used on other players.

In Sanctuary boss rooms, skill resurrections and Spiritstone revivals together are capped at two per fight since April 22, 2026, resetting when the fight starts, the boss dies or the party wipes. Spiritstones are a common reward. On the Korean service they are sold for Kina by the Wind Breeze Merchants (since December 3, 2025; the price was lowered on October 7, 2026), events have sold extra ones for 25,000 to 30,000 Kina each, and the Expedition exchange shop sells them for 1,000 Tokens of Overcoming, up to 20 per character per week since September 23, 2026. On the global service, the launch coupon gives five and a four-hour Twitch Drop during Advance Access gives ten.

On the global service, the October 7, 2026 patch added Resurrection Spiritstone (Season 1) to Wind Breeze Merchants, Shop, Special, for 25,000 Kina each, limited to 10 purchases per server per week. The sale runs from the October 6 (PDT) maintenance until before the December 15 (PST) maintenance. This is a separate global offer from the Korean event with 30 purchases per character per week.

Battle Enhancement Scroll

The Battle Enhancement Scroll (전투 강화 주문서; also written Battle Enhance Scroll in official posts) raises Damage Boost and Damage Tolerance by 10 percent each for 300 seconds, according to the official item database. It is a recurring reward item. NCsoft mailed five Battle Enhancement Scrolls (Engraved) to global players on October 1, 2026, claimable until the end of Early Access, and the launch coupon gives ten. On the Korean service the same item came in the Season 3 coupon, and since September 23, 2026 the Expedition exchange shop sells a bundle of 10 for 5,000 Tokens of Overcoming once per week.

Buff Scrolls

Most combat scrolls last 300 seconds; the shield and status scrolls last 60 seconds. Effects from the official item database:

The Status Effect Resist Scroll was a Shock-type resistance scroll until January 28, 2026, when it became a general status effect scroll that also guards against Freeze, Fear, Tree, Sleep and Seal. Scroll buffs are not removed by the buff-stripping parts of some class skills (February 4, 2026). Alchemy crafts the scrolls; since November 26, 2025 a combo while crafting can produce the top-grade Gale, Critical Boost and status resistance scrolls.

Power Shards

Power Shards (봉혼석) are equipped consumables that add damage to attacks. The guidebook explains that a Power Shard is placed in its own quick slot, toggled on and off with a hotkey (B by default), and consumes one shard per attack while active. Basic Power Shards are bought for Kina from general goods merchants, and the higher grades come from material conversion. The English names are the global client's; NCsoft's global AION 2 Season 1 Starter package, sold from September 30, 2026, includes 5,000 Superior Power Shards.

Amulets carry a Power Shard Damage Bonus stat that adds to the shard's damage; see Amulets and Belts. Since April 15, 2026, Superior and Abyssal Power Shards made by conversion are bound.

Player testing at the Korean service's endgame puts the real gain a little below the listed figure: about 4.65% more damage for a Power Shard and about 8.9% for a Superior Power Shard. The shard multiplies only the weapon-based part of Attack, not the flat PvE and Boss Attack added later in the damage calculation; see Damage Formula and Stat Efficiency.

Odyle Energy Items

Bound Odyle Energy items refill Odyle Energy, the resource that pays out dungeon rewards. The global launch coupon gives four, and a 45-minute Twitch Drop during Advance Access gives two.

Global Launch Coupon

The coupon TAKEFLIGHTAION2 is redeemed in game under Settings, Miscellaneous, Account, Enter Coupon. It runs from October 1, 2026 after maintenance to October 13, 2026 at 11:00 PM PDT in North America and October 14, 2026 at 08:00 CEST in Europe, once per account on all servers, and its items are bound. It contains four Odyle Energy (Bound), five Resurrection Spiritstones (Bound) and ten Battle Enhance Scrolls (Bound).
