Initial version (2026-08-26): profile, cover identity, and story role for the late-campaign antagonist
Isola is a late-campaign antagonist in 007 First Light. For most of the campaign she operates under a stolen identity, working alongside Bond in the field as the DGSE agent Charlotte Roth, before turning on MI6 in the closing chapters. She is the character responsible for both of the campaign's late-story thefts.

The Charlotte Roth that Bond partners with in the field is not the real one. Isola assumed the name and the DGSE credentials of a serving officer; the genuine Charlotte Roth is a separate agent in her late fifties who is close to retirement and plays no part in the field operations. Because the cover holds until the late campaign, everything the in-field Roth says about her own background should be read as part of the deception rather than as established fact about her.
The practical effect on the story is that the cross-agency partnership Bond believes he is running with the DGSE is, for most of its length, an antagonist operating from inside MI6's operational picture.
Isola first joins the campaign in Slovakia, introducing herself under the Roth identity, and continues as Bond's recurring field partner across several mid-to-late chapters.
In Chapter 9, Wave of the Future, Bond infiltrates the Webb research facility in Antarctica alongside her. The operation turns when she fatally shoots Sir Nicholas Webb and takes the HYPERION core, the second quantum system built as a sibling to THEIA. Bond destroys the stolen core during a boat chase in the surrounding waters, and Isola is taken into MI6 custody, which sets up the finale.
In the finale, For England, the assault on MI6 Headquarters targets the THEIA core housed in the building. After the boss fight against Damien Webb ends in the flooded reservoir beneath MI6, it is Isola who pulls Bond out of the water. She then escapes with the THEIA core, leaving the campaign's central technology in her hands as the story closes.
