Rewrote the Fencer's Blade plan to be weapon-specific: explained the one-handed fencing weapon it unlocks, added crafting station and material path, cross-linked rapiers, sabers an
Plans: Fencer's Blade is a single-use Recipe Paper in Windrose. Reading it permanently unlocks the Fencer's Blade, a light fencing sidearm built around fast, precise thrusts rather than heavy swings.
Reading the paper adds the Fencer's Blade recipe to the Weaponsmith Workshop, under the Personal Weapons and Ship Fittings category. The blade is a one-handed fencing weapon, so it leaves the off-hand free for a Pistol or torch in the same way the Rapiers and Sabers lines do. Fencing weapons reward the dodge-and-thrust playstyle that the Fencer Talents branch is built around.
Exact damage, scaling, and rarity for the Fencer's Blade are not yet listed on the live item pages, so they are intentionally left out here rather than guessed. For confirmed numbers on the established one-handed duelist weapons, see the Rapiers roster (one-handed Pierce, scales with Precision) and the Sabers roster (one-handed Slash, scales with Agility). Treat the Fencer's Blade as the same weight class until its card is documented.
One-handed blades in this class are crafted at the Weaponsmith Workshop and follow a shared upgrade path. The opening recipe for the rapier and saber lines is Copper Ingot plus Rough Hide, with later bands swapping to Foothills Iron Ingot and then Mire Metal Ingot. If the Fencer's Blade follows the same family, expect a comparable material cost; confirm against the in-game recipe once the entry is unlocked.
Recipe Papers are looted in the world, most often from chests in pirate camps, ruined points of interest, and the wider archipelago. Some merchants in Tortuga also rotate a small selection of plans through their stock. The paper is consumed when it is read, and reading it adds the listed entry to the relevant crafting station's recipe list permanently for that character, with no further fee.
Drops most reliably from looted chests in pirate camps and ruined points of interest, with occasional appearances in cargo crates from defeated NPC ships and in random trader stock at Tortuga. Once read, the unlocked entry is bound to the character that read it; share-base members must each find and read their own copy.

Carry duplicates as trade bait. Until a base stockpiles every recipe paper for a building set, an extra copy is a strong barter chip with other crews.
Read papers at a base, not on a ship. Some plans add bulk decoration sets that flood the crafting menu, and being at a workshop helps preview new entries immediately.
Once read, the unlock is permanent for that character. Reading a second copy does nothing, so a duplicate paper is best traded or sold.
If you plan to main a fencing build, the free respec means you can shift points into Precision or Agility once you confirm which stat the blade scales with, without losing progress.
Rapiers and Sabers, the documented one-handed duelist classes.
Fencer Talents, the talent branch for thrust-focused builds.
Recipe Papers, the full plan category.
Weapons, the cross-class roster.
