Pillar with a Base is a vertical support in the Pillars line, a timber post set on a stone footing so it can stand on open ground without an existing foundation under it. It carries the weight for Beam (Log) spans, raised Floor (Logs) sections, and roofing above, which makes it the usual starting point for porches, watchtowers, and multi-level frames.
It costs 2 Wood and 2 Stone, a little more than a plain Pillar (Log) because of the stone base, and has 1,500 Max Health. Like other parts it is decayable and must sit within Bonfire range. For sturdier frames later on, upgrade to a stone post such as the Pillar (Stone) while keeping the same snapping points.
