Ornamental Sword

The Ornamental Sword is a wall-mounted military decoration in Windrose, part of the Military Decorations set. It is a display piece rather than a usable weapon: hung on a wall inside your base, it adds a small comfort bonus to the surrounding area while giving a captain's quarters a martial, chivalric look.

Reminiscent of the age of romantic chivalry.

Overview

The Ornamental Sword is wall-mounted and works only within range of a lit Bonfire. Placed inside that radius it contributes a +1 comfort bonus to the Military decoration category. As with all decorations, comfort bonuses within the same category do not stack, so a second Military piece in the same room will not add a further point: spread different categories around a base to raise overall Comfort instead of doubling up on one type.

How to Use

• Place it on an interior wall that sits inside the lit Bonfire range; outside that range it provides no comfort.

• Use it as the Military entry in a mixed decoration scheme. One Military piece, one of another category, and so on, since same-category bonuses do not stack.

• It is built from cheap, early materials, so it is an easy way to add the first point of Military comfort to a new hideout.
