Human pirate enemies drop them on death, most reliably the Musketeer, Grenadier, and Sergeant, each with roughly a 70 percent chance to drop one or two. A Supply Cache found inside a camp is guaranteed to hold a pair, so clearing a camp and opening its cache is the fastest way to stock up.

Nuts are a combat-sourced food material in Windrose, taken from defeated pirates and the caches in their camps. They are a snack item on their own but their real value is as a cooking ingredient: a small input that pushes several recipes up a buff tier.
Every Nut recipe is prepared at the Cooking Fire. Nuts appear in several launch-build dishes:
