Merchant Contract: Food is a contract item that lets you construct a merchant building which ships food resources directly to your base for a sum of Piastre. Reading it teaches the Merchant: Food recipe so the building can be placed.
Initially, only a limited lineup of resources is available; it expands after specific threats are eliminated.
The contract is bought from a faction vendor, then read to learn the Merchant: Food building recipe. Once the building is placed at your base, it stocks food crops you can order in for Piastre instead of farming or foraging them yourself. The order list starts small and grows as you clear the threats that block each region, so the merchant is a steady supply line that scales with your progress rather than a one-time unlock. For the wider system of building shipping merchants, see Merchant Contracts.
The food merchant can ship the resources below. The base list is available immediately; the rest open as each region's threat is eliminated.

Food is one of several building shipping contracts. Each teaches a different merchant building that supplies a category of goods.
Merchant Contract: Food is part of the crafting progression chain rather than a standalone collectible. Use the recipe, station, and ingredient rows to trace what unlocks it, what it consumes, and which linked upgrades or materials should be prepared before crafting it.
