Placement and Comfort
Like every decoration, the banner only counts toward your shelter while it sits inside the range of a Bonfire. Anything placed outside that radius is purely cosmetic and adds nothing to the Comfort System. Build it near your camp or base so the bonus registers.
This piece grants +1 to the Flag comfort category. Comfort within a single category does not stack, so placing two pieces of the same category gives the same +1 as one. To raise your total comfort you mix pieces from different categories rather than stacking duplicates of the same one. Higher overall comfort is what unlocks better rest and the related shelter benefits.
Banner Tiers and Variants
The Fine White Flagpole is one of the fine-tier colours in the Banners line, learned from the Decoration: Port Flagpoles plan. The fine tier shares a single recipe across every colour, so you can fly a matched set or mix shades for a busy harbour look. The simpler and more elegant tiers give the same Flag comfort bonus and differ only in appearance.

Materials
The recipe is five Hardwood, two Rope, and two Linen Fabric, the same as the other fine flagpoles. Because linen fabric and rope are both crafted rather than rare drops, white flagpoles are a low cost way to dress up a dock once you have a steady hardwood supply.
