Decorations is the full range of non-structural items you can place to personalize a settlement. Windrose offers over 165 decoration pieces across 19 sub-categories, from flagpoles and carpets to ship models and sculptures.

Windrose's Building Panel does not draw a hard line between decoration and furniture. In this wiki, we organize furniture (tables, seating, wardrobes, shelves, beds) separately from pure wall-and-floor decor (paintings, carpets, chandeliers) to make finding specific pieces faster.
All decoration pieces follow the same rules: they can be placed indoors or outdoors, they do not need Bonfire range, and they can be demolished for a 100% material refund like any other building piece.
Decoration material costs are low compared to structural pieces. You can fully decorate a starter cabin with under 50 Wood and 30 Plant Fiber.
Most decorations have no Max Health value because they cannot be attacked by AI. Only pieces placed on exterior walls or visible through windows can be targeted by raiders.
The Building Contest rewards players for creative decoration layouts. Stacking mixed categories (dining set with Table + Seating + Food displays + Dishes) scores higher than a single-theme room.
Wall-mounted decor (Paintings, Wall Lamps, Wall Torches, Trophies) snaps to any Wall piece; they do not collide with Windows or Doors.
Decorations can overlap with other decorations within reason. Place a small decoration (like a Book Set) on top of a flat surface (Table) without conflict.
