Column (Stone) is a stone pillar from the Pillars and Beams set, used as a vertical support and decorative accent for masonry builds. It costs two Stone and has 750 Max Health, half the durability of its mahogany counterpart Column (Mahogany), which is worth noting if you are building structures that take combat damage. It is taught by Plans: Columns and Arches.

Like every snap-together piece in Windrose, this part is placed from the build menu as a silhouette preview that locks onto compatible Building Pieces before you spend any materials, so you can line it up exactly before committing. It is part of the wider Base Building system, where structures must sit inside a settlement's bonfire radius to stay functional.
Demolishing a placed piece refunds 100% of its construction cost, so swapping a Stone version for a higher tier later carries no material penalty beyond the time to rebuild. Higher material tiers unlock as you explore new islands and recover recipe plans from points of interest.
Column (Stone) stacks with the other Plans: Columns and Arches pieces. Builders who place a Column (Stone) typically pair it with the matching base and capital, or step up to the sturdier mahogany column for high-traffic or combat-exposed structures.

Column (Stone) is part of the building progression: craft it from a workbench once the listed plan is unlocked, using the materials in the build cost table above. Demolish it any time for a full material refund if you decide to rebuild in a different tier or location.
